POSITION SUMMARY 

Mirum Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Salesforce Administrator to drive the ongoing development, configuration, and maintenance of the Salesforce platform This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams — including Commercial Operations, Commercial Data Analytics, and Patient Services — to ensure that the Salesforce environment and related applications are meeting the needs of the organization. The role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and business, has a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of Salesforce's capabilities.

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Salesforce Administration:
    • Manage and maintain Salesforce instances, ensuring optimal performance and usability across various Salesforce clouds (Life Sciences (LS) Cloud, Customer Community Plus for Health Cloud).
    • Oversee user access, roles, profiles permission sets, and security settings to ensure data integrity and security compliance.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, providing technical support to end users.
    • Configure and customize Salesforce objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, reports, and dashboards.
    • Administer and configure LS Cloud to optimize patient relationship management and healthcare-specific workflows.
    • Customize LS Cloud to meet the needs of all business users, ensuring the seamless management of patient information, care teams, and health data.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure LS Cloud functionality aligns with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to implement and maintain Salesforce integrations with third-party systems and data sources.
    • Ensure smooth and secure integration processes with internal and external systems (e.g., data aggregators, pharmacies).
  • Automation & Process Optimization:
    • Design, implement, and maintain automation using Salesforce Flow, Process Builder, and Workato to streamline business processes and enhance system efficiency.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and design tailored solutions that improve productivity and reduce manual efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • 4-8+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator, with hands-on experience in Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud or Health Cloud
  • Salesforce Administrator certification (such as Salesforce Certified Administrator) is preferred
  • Proficiency in Salesforce configuration, including custom objects, fields, workflows, process builder, and security settings
  • Experience with data management and integration tools and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and end-users
  • Experience with managing user profiles, roles, permissions, and security settings in Salesforce
  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry processes and regulations (HIPAA, patient data management, etc.)
  • Experience in regulated environments with knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GxP, GDPR)

Preferred:

  • Previous experience supporting CRM in a biotech/pharma environment
  • Strong experience with Salesforce integrations (using tools like Workato, MuleSoft, etc.) and API management
  • Understanding of patient journey processes, e.g. Enrollment, Benefits Verification, Prior Authorizations, Open/Annual Enrollment, etc
  • Understanding of commercial data in life sciences, including pharmacy, claims, patient, and HCP data

The salary range for this position is $143,000 to $160,000 USD. Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to; skill set, years of experience, and the employee’s geographic location. Please note that the required compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits unless otherwise provided.
