
Key Account Manager, Hepatology – South Germany

POSITION SUMMARY
The Key Account Manager (KAM)contributes to Mirum’s mission by helping improve awareness, access and support for patients living with rare liver diseases across the assigned region in Germany. This is a field-based commercial professional responsible for developing and growing Mirum’s hepatology disease portfolio within an assigned territory in Germany.
While working in close partnership with healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary care teams, the KAM develops and executes strategic account plans for priority centers and regional networks that support appropriate patient identification, access and use of Mirum’s therapies. The KAM combines strong clinical knowledge with commercial excellence to build trusted customer relationships, identify opportunities and support long-term account development. These roles work collaboratively with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing and other cross-functional partners and translates customer insights into effective account strategies while ensuring all activities comply with applicable legal, regulatory and company requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute strategic account plans for priority centers and regional networks aligned with national commercial objectives
- Build trusted partnerships with healthcare professionals, KOLs, specialist centers, academic hospitals and multidisciplinary care teams across the assigned region
- Deliver high-quality scientific and product discussions that support appropriate patient care
- Identify customer needs and align Mirum resources and solutions to support appropriate patient care
- Continuously assess regional account opportunities using customer insights, market intelligence and business data
- Support account-readiness activities by identifying awareness, diagnostic pathway and referral-process gaps within priority accounts and regional networks
- Share compliant field insights to support market development, account readiness and future launch planning
- Collaborate effectively with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing and other cross-functional colleagues
- Maintain strong knowledge of relevant disease states, treatment landscape and Mirum’s products
- Demonstrate accountability for territory performance while consistently operating in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
- Contribute positively to a collaborative Mirum culture by sharing best practices and supporting team success
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in science or related field required; advanced degree preferred
- 3+ years of professional experience in pharmaceutical or biotech field-based commercial roles
- Proven track record in delivering results in specialty care or rare disease markets
- Demonstrated success supporting product launch, growth or market-development activities in complex healthcare environments
- Experience in liver disease, rare disease, GI, hepatology or related specialty areas preferred
- Understanding of strategic account management, regional healthcare structures and the German healthcare environment
- Commitment to compliance, ethical business practices and appropriate scientific exchange
- Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight travel
- Fluency in German and English, with the ability to read, understand and communicate scientific and business information in English
