About the role:
As a front-line supervisor in our food-based warehouse, you'll drive overall performance and success in daily operations. You'll support the Head of Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Compliance, as well as the Director of Operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Through your collaboration across departments, you'll foster a culture of food quality and safety.
As the Quality Supervisor, you'll support the execution of internal quality assurance and sanitation programs, including training. Responsibilities include maintaining compliance with Food Safety Plans/HACCP, and regulations such as Food Defense, NOP, USDA, and FDA. Together with the Manager of Quality Control & Assurance, you’ll conduct audits (GFSI/SQF, Organic, FSMA), address variances, and develop action plans to prevent recurrence.

You will:
- Ensure a Safety-First culture in our Fulfillment Centers, adhering to OSHA, AlB, GMP, HACCP, SQF, and FDA standards. Monitor FC performance against KPIs, implementing strategies for quality, efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Maintain transparent lines of communication across departments to foster a collaborative FSQR culture within the FC. Manage the successful implementation of strategies to improve quality, efficiency, and overall operational excellence.
- Responsible for ensuring our food safety plan, Hazard Analysis, preventive controls, sanitation controls, and audits are conducted according to compliance standards. You will help train new QC/QA team members to these standards.
- Manage Inbound Quality Inspection, documentation, and escalation processes in WMS and ERP systems. Support the Quality Manager in conducting root cause analysis after audits, supplier feedback, and customer customer complaints.
- Ensure food safety of frozen and refrigerated items, and warehouse temperatures are within requirements. Oversee Calibrations, Prep/Sort, and processes of our 3rd-party partnerships as assigned.
- Additional duties as assigned.
You are:
- Able to adapt to changing priorities, delegate, and manage time efficiently
- Strong team management skills with ability to lead large teams
- Safety-focused with strict adherence to company standards and safety procedures
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for improved outcomes
- Able to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
You have:
- Previous leadership experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Experience working in a food-based facility, especially in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance leadership role
- Flexible and agile; able to pivot to changing circumstances and business demands
- Experience training others to new processes or procedural updates
- Demonstrate strong problem solving and project management skills including root cause analysis, risk assessment, and corrective/preventive action
- Excellent leadership, team building, and people management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
- Excellent conflict-resolution and decision-making abilities
Must have:
- Experience with or certification in HACCP, FDA, USDA, SQF or other relevant certifications
- Experience conducting root cause analysis investigations
