About the role:

The HR Coordinator acts as a vital frontline contact for new hires and team members, responsible for managing onboarding, maintaining confidential personnel records, and ensuring policy compliance. This role collaborates closely with the HR Generalist and fulfillment center leaders to support team needs, facilitate training, and effectively resolve workplace inquiries.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a strict level of confidentiality and discretion. Is privy to executive-level business data.
  • Access and update personnel records, including onboarding information, responding to HR inquiries in person and via email, and responding to employment verification requests.
  • Escalates employee relations concerns with discretion.
  • Is careful not to overshare information, maintains need-to-know discretion at all times.
  • Interface with new hires during orientation, frontline contact with team members on site.
  • Foundational knowledge of workplace laws including eVerify, employee rest & meal time.
  • Deep knowledge of our employee handbook and company policies. Knows where to find a policy when asked.
  • Lead Harassment Prevention Training during orientation.
  • May assist team members navigating through HRIS system.
  • May be tasked with small projects within the scope of their role such as creating flyers, assisting with a portion of a project, or owning a component of a larger task.
  • Able to prioritize against competing interests and thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
  • Not expected to manage employee relations or investigations, rather, knows when to escalate and to whom.
  • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues
  • The HR Coordinator will work closely with the HR Generalist and the different area leaders across our Fulfillment Center.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years of experience
  • The drive to work as a team with a results-driven approach
  • Ability to build confidence and strong relationships with Team Members and area leaders
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Proven skills in MS office suite and Google
