Position Title: Summer Office Operations Intern Location Based: San Diego, CA
Duration: 6–8 weeks
Schedule/Hours: Tuesdays-Thursdays, 9AM-430PM (21 hours per week)
About the Role: Mission Healthcare Support Center is offering a paid summer internship for current high school students to gain hands-on experience in a Home Health/Healthcare administrative environment! This role is ideal for students interested in learning how healthcare support teams operate, building professional skills, and contributing to intentional office projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide special project and operational support to Support Center teams across multiple functions (e.g., HR, Operations, Marketing, Intake, Compliance, IT, etc.).
- Assist with day-to-day tasks, projects, and process improvements as assigned.
- Support data entry, data tracking, and basic reporting using spreadsheets and internal systems.
- Prepare documents, presentations, meeting materials, and internal communications.
- Organize files, maintain records, and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date
- Conduct basic research and compile information to support decision-making.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for efficiency and improvement.
- Learn and adhere to company policies, confidentiality standards, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to support organizational goals and deadlines.
- Complete special projects and ad hoc tasks as needed to support business operations.
- Observe and learn from nurses, therapists, sales and administrative staff to understand home health and hospice operations

Qualifications:
- Current high school student (preferably junior or senior)
- Interest in healthcare administration, home health, and/or hospice
- Reliable, responsible, and professional
- Comfortable using computers and phones for basic tasks
