Job Overview

Mitratech is seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Engineer with a strong back-end focus to lead the design and development of a new, greenfield AI-first product in the HR Compliance space. As a founding engineer on this team, you will have a significant impact on the architecture and technology choices, building a product that combines standard SaaS interfaces with interactive, AI-driven decision support.

You will be a key leader in a team that values clean code, scalability, and continuous delivery. This is a unique opportunity to build a complex application from the ground up in a supportive, high-ownership environment.

This is a fully remote position for  Mexican candidates based in Mexico for a US-based project; professional proficiency in English is required.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Front-End Architecture & Development: Lead the design and hands-on development of a modern, secure, and scalable UI using React and TypeScript.
• Technical Strategy & Planning: Architect end-to-end solutions and break down high-level product goals into well-defined, modular engineering tasks for the team.
• API Integration & Backend Collaboration: Write and integrate with backend services built in Python (FastAPI), ensuring seamless data flow and performance.
• AI Feature Implementation: Develop and refine the workflows and interfaces that connect our users to powerful LLM agents and knowledge bases.
• Code Quality & Best Practices: Drive a high standard of engineering excellence through rigorous code reviews, automated testing, and the adoption of security best practices (OWASP).
• Team Mentorship: Mentor other engineers in front-end best practices, system-level design, and the effective use of AI development tools.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong background in building SaaS products.

• Expert-level proficiency in React and TypeScript.

• Strong foundation in Algorithms, Data Structures, and Complexity Analysis.

• Experience building RESTful APIs; experience with Python and FastAPI is a major plus.

• Deep understanding of secure UI development practices (e.g., preventing XSS).

• Experience with our stack is highly valued: PostgreSQL, AWS, and Docker.

• Familiarity with LLM concepts (e.g., RAG, prompt engineering) is a strong advantage.
