Director, Parts Sales & Operations

Summary of Role: The overall purpose of this position is to deliver revenue and profit growth targets in line with the overall company plan. The individual will be tasked with improving standards and procedures throughout the parts organization and will need to be a motivational and influential leader as he/she needs to affect change at all levels of the organization from corporate office management down to the PDC operations staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the Aftersales organization, supporting regional managers in meeting and exceeding organizational objectives.
- Develop and achieve sales targets and objectives for both dealers and regional field teams, specifically focused on Aftersales performance.
- Oversee the planning and execution of retail and wholesale promotional programs at both the National and Regional levels.
- Drive the creation and implementation of new products and programs that address dealer and end-customer needs, ensuring alignment with MMNA’s business model.
- Collaborate with Regions and Corporate teams to develop innovative strategies that enhance the parts and service aspects of the business and grow market share.
- Lead the growth and success of consumer-focused programs such as Value Line Parts, Tire Sales, and Port and Dealer-installed Accessories.
- Develop and manage the annual parts department budget, including internal and export sales plans, while coordinating with the parent company in Japan to achieve mutual goals.
- Direct inventory planning strategies to meet dealer order fill rates, maintain appropriate months of supply, and hit inventory level targets.
- Ensure the timely and accurate processing of export parts shipments, coordinating with internal teams to achieve export order fill rates, maintain shipping accuracy, and comply with export regulations, including C-TPAT customs certification requirements.
- Oversee parts pricing strategies to maintain a competitive position in the automotive industry, leveraging benchmark data to ensure fair and competitive pricing.
- Manage the operations of MMNA Parts Distribution Centers, achieving quality and throughput goals to enhance operational efficiency and dealer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement sales initiatives, including the creation of support materials, advertising campaigns, incentives, and reporting tools for parts and accessories.
- Strategically develop programs that improve the customer experience, boost wholesale activity, engage consumers, and support organizational key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage direct reports by setting clear expectations, providing coaching and feedback, prioritizing tasks, and addressing performance issues while fostering staff growth and development.
- Effectively balance multiple priorities and maintain composure in high-pressure business scenarios.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of management experience within an automotive company, ideally in the parts/components or aftersales businesses.
- Field Sales and/or dealership sales experience preferred.
- Proven ability to work within a matrix organizational structure and act as a respected motivator and influencer to accomplish changes within the organization.
- Demonstrated success in developing strategic growth plan and then executing to hit targets.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines while delivering quality results.
Pay Transparency:
The base salary for this position ranges between $180,000 to $190,000. The base salary will be based on a number of factors including the role offered, the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
