Summary of Role:

Are you looking to rev up your career with an exhilarating opportunity? We are looking for an IT Intern to join our team and contribute to various aspects of our IT initiatives. This role involves creating various Interfaces for utilizing Connected Car Data stored in the Google Cloud Data Lake Platform.

Internship Details:

  • 12-week program, starting in May 2025
  • Hybrid environment with at least 3 days a week in the Franklin, TN office
  • Office hours: 8-5pm Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

During your internship you will work on projects such as:

  • Develop and maintain backend systems using Java/J2EE technologies to support connected car applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and system architects, to design scalable and efficient solutions.
  • Implement and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices architecture that ensure seamless integration with mobile and web platforms.
  • Work on integrating third-party telematics services, enhancing real-time vehicle tracking, diagnostics, and infotainment systems.
  • Conduct regular code reviews and adhere to best practices in coding, testing, and security compliance.
  • Participate in data processing and analytics tasks for real-time and batch data generated by connected vehicles.
  • Ensure platforms meet industry standards for performance, reliability, and security, while complying with automotive-specific regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical system issues to maintain uninterrupted functionality for connected car services.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies in connected solutions, including IoT, AI, and cloud computing, applying relevant innovations to enhance platform capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements: Must be currently enrolled in accredited university/college as a Junior or Senior.
  • Degree Qualifications: Current major must be in Information Systems/Technology.
  • Passion for IT: A genuine interest in IT and a desire to learn and contribute.
  • Data Proficiency: Able to extract and translate data, document data flow details, and utilize data streams.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Team Collaboration: Willingness to work collaboratively within the IT team.

Pay Transparency: 

The hourly rate for this position is $15.00/hour. In addition, we are excited to offer the use of a Mitsubishi vehicle with insurance fully covered during your internship.
