
Manager, Dealer Development Administration

Summary of Role:
Join our team as the Manager of Dealer Development Administration! You'll design and manage dealership layouts in proposal packages to ensure optimal functionality, develop key documentation like Letters of Intent to support dealer development initiatives, and enhance our Dealer Development System to drive efficiency and innovation. Additionally, you'll ensure compliance with state inventory buy-back statutes and oversee the review and approval of all dealer packages. Responsibilities:
Strategic & Financial Responsibilities
- Franchise Compliance & Legal Risk Mitigation: Analyze state-specific franchise laws to determine MMNA’s financial obligations in voluntary terminations before legal review. Ensure compliance with buy-back statutes and manage final dealer payments.
- Contract Development & Dealer Accountability: Develop dealer agreement addenda to enforce binding commitments, including renewal addenda addressing compliance deficiencies.
- Financial Risk Control: Ensure all financial obligations, including parts account payments, are settled before issuing new dealer codes, preventing MMNA financial loss.
Operational Excellence & System Oversight
- Dealer Agreement & Data Management: Analyze dealership facility structures and translate them into binding Letters of Intent (LOI). Process dealer agreements, input data into the Dealer Development System (DDS), and manage active and terminated dealer records.
- IT & System Enhancements: Oversee DDS screen development, collaborate with IT for process improvements, and enhance dealer count tracking on internal web platforms.
- Accounting & Logistics Alignment: Update accounting systems to ensure uninterrupted vehicle drafting and shipments, verifying flooring documents meet compliance requirements.
Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Team Management & Quality Control: Manager one Dealer Development Specialist, ensuring all dealership packages are accurate and compliant.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a liaison with regional teams to validate dealer shipment timelines and ensure smooth transitions. Manage terminated dealer signage removals, process vendor payments, and ensure proper billing.
Reporting & Industry Engagement
- Legal Issue Tracking: Maintain a legal issue log and coordinate with stakeholders for resolution.
- Performance Analytics & Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve dealer development processes for operational efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years progressive exempt-level retail/wholesale automotive experience.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior Dealer Placement/Development experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the mainframe DDS.
- Comprehensive understanding of dealer package franchising processes.
Pay Transparency:
The base salary for this position ranges between $100,000 to $110,000. The base salary will be based on a number of factors including the role offered, the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
