We’re looking for an Accountant to join our team at Mixbook Moldova, where you'll have the opportunity to shape our financial foundation and make a difference in the world of creativity and human connection. 

In this role, you’ll take ownership of Mixbook Moldova's primary accounting processes while ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations. If you're a detail-oriented, solutions-driven professional eager to make an impact, we’d love to hear from you!

We are seeking candidates based in Moldova, where a hybrid work model is available at our office in central Chisinau.

What You’ll Do  

• Record and process daily accounting transactions, while maintaining the general ledger.
• Prepare and maintain journal entries, bank reconciliations, and cash reconciliations.
• Manage Mixbook’s accounts payable, including processing supplier invoices and payments
• Prepare payroll sheets and submit payroll-related reports to authorities.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, tax filings, and month-end reports.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain financial data accuracy and compliance.
• Take on ad-hoc financial requests as needed to support the team’s success.

What You’ll Need  

• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in local accounting standards (1C expertise required).
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
• Hands-on experience with bank and balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger management, and expense tracking.
• Experience supporting the preparation of financial reports is a plus. 
• Expertise in IFRS would be an advantage. 
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills to effectively partner with cross-functional teams.
• Intermediate English speaking skills, level B2 or greater

• IFRS certification or strong knowledge of international accounting standards.
• Familiarity with IT companies and Moldova IT Park processes.
