We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team at Mixbook Moldova, where you'll have the opportunity to shape our financial foundation and make a difference in the world of creativity and human connection. 

In this role, you’ll take ownership of US GAAP accounting processes while ensuring compliance with international standards like IFRS. If you're a detail-oriented, solutions-driven professional eager to make an impact, we’d love to hear from you!

We are seeking candidates based in Moldova, where a hybrid work model is available at our office in central Chisinau.

What You’ll Do  

• Reconcile accounts, prepare journal entries, and maintain accurate, real-time financial records.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS standards while supporting audits and tax-related activities.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, delivering timely and precise financial reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports that offer actionable insights for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage bank and credit card reconciliations, amortization of prepaid expenses, and fixed asset tracking.
• Identify opportunities to optimize accounting processes and reduce costs. 
• Support system automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain financial data accuracy and compliance.
• Take on ad-hoc responsibilities as needed to support the team’s success.

What You’ll Need  

• 4+ years of accounting experience in international environments, 
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA/CPA preferred).
• Expertise in IFRS and experience supporting the preparation of financial reports.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite, Intacct, or SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
• Hands-on experience with bank and balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger management, expense tracking, and AP automation tools.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills to effectively partner with cross-functional teams.
• Intermediate English speaking skills, level B2 or greater
