Job Summary:

MixMode is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team, remotely or in our Santa Barbara office. This person will own the integration ecosystem for the MixMode platform: the connectors, outbound integrations and data formats that deliver MixMode's AI-driven detections into customers' existing SOC workflows (SIEM, SOAR, ticketing and data lake tools) for investigation and response. They will set direction for this area, partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, Sales, Marketing and Customer Success, and have direct visibility with company leadership.

The ideal candidate is an experienced enterprise product manager with a track record of shipping complex technical products: someone who has owned a product area from problem definition through launch, made and defended hard prioritization calls, and delivered on a cadence.  They are comfortable in deep technical conversations with engineers and in front of customers and executives, thrive in a fast-moving startup, turn ambiguity into clear priorities, and write well, because written narratives are how we make decisions.

Security experience is a strong plus, not a requirement.

What you’ll be doing (responsibilities):

  • Drive execution: Own delivery end to end for your product area. Write clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria; work day to day with Engineering and Data Science through design, build and release; manage dependencies, clear blockers and ship what was committed, adjusting as priorities shift.
  • Own the roadmap: Define and prioritize the roadmap for the integration ecosystem based on customer needs, market and competitive insight, and business goals; communicate trade-offs and timelines clearly to stakeholders.
  • Build the integration ecosystem: Own both directions of the ecosystem.
    • Inbound: the connectors that bring customer telemetry into MixMode (network sensors, cloud audit and flow logs, EDR/XDR, identity, and other security data sources).
    • Outbound: the integrations that deliver MixMode detections into customers' existing workflows (SIEM, SOAR, ticketing and data lake platforms) in the formats customers and partners need.
  • Know the customer: Run ongoing discovery with customers, prospects, partners and SOC practitioners; synthesize input from Sales, Customer Success, industry analysts and security research into clear problem statements.
  • Measure what matters: Define success metrics for your features (adoption, time to value, integration reliability, retention) and use data to guide iteration.
  • Enable go-to-market: Partner with Marketing on positioning, messaging, launches, demos and collateral; train Sales, Sales Engineering and partners; join key customer and prospect conversations.
  • Contribute to detection work: Partner with the product and data science teams on how detections are consumed downstream, so what we detect is actionable where customers work.
  • Become the expert: Build deep knowledge of the MixMode platform, network and cloud telemetry, and how SOC teams operate, and represent the product with customers, partners, and analysts.

What you’ll need to bring (qualifications):

  • 6+ years of product management experience with enterprise B2B software or SaaS products, with a track record of owning a product area from problem definition through launch and iteration
  • Evidence of product judgment: you have made and defended hard prioritization calls, cut scope to ship, and delivered on a cadence, and you can walk us through those decisions in detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable in a writing-first organization where one-pagers, PRDs and PRFAQs drive decisions, and able to explain product vision, strategy and value to technical and executive audiences
  • 3+ years owning integration, API, connector or data pipeline products (data ingestion, partner or third-party integrations, marketplace apps, etc.), with hands-on experience in how data moves between systems (ingestion, normalization, schemas, reliability at scale, etc.)
  • Experience working day to day with Engineering and Data Science on model-driven or data-driven features
  • Strong grounding in the software development lifecycle and Agile methods
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to turn complex technical ideas into clear, actionable plans
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment while collaborating across teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strongly preferred: Experience in cybersecurity, security infrastructure or data platforms, ideally with products that integrate into SIEM, SOC or security analytics workflows

Other things we’d love to see (nice to have):

  • Working knowledge of at least one SIEM or security data lake platform (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Google SecOps, Elastic, Snowflake)
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and network or cloud security telemetry (e.g., Zeek, flow logs, CloudTrail)
  • Hands-on experience as a software engineer, security analyst or SOC practitioner
  • Experience working with federal or public sector customers
