About the Team:

Mixpanel's Legal team is small, commercial and global, supporting the business globally on commercial contracting, privacy, marketing, partnerships and procurement. We run lean, so you will own matters end to end and work directly with the business rather than at arm's length. We treat legal as a revenue enabler and invest heavily in playbooks, tooling and AI so a small team can cover a lot of ground.

About The Role:

The role requires a licensed Singapore-based attorney who is motivated, diligent, collaborative, business-minded, and has a wide breadth of experience drafting, negotiating, and collaborating with internal teams to support both inbound and outbound commercial transactions. This individual has exceptional written and verbal communication skills, has a critical eye for identifying and resolving issues and concerns by proactively collaborating with other legal team members and internal stakeholders across the organization, and will help develop legal resources, contract templates, and documentation to inform and facilitate contracting efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and negotiate technology-related commercial agreements with the Company’s customers, including master services and SaaS agreements, data processing addenda , data security addenda, and NDAs.
  • Review, negotiate, and structure vendor and partnership agreements, as needed.
  • Design, implement, and iterate on the legal team’s AI initiatives, policies, processes and procedures to improve the legal team’s engagement model across the organization.
  • Provide pragmatic legal and strategic support on cross-functional projects.
  • Advise cross-functional teams on meeting strategic objectives while complying with global laws, regulations, best practices, and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and other business units to ensure privacy by design principles are embedded in Mixpanel products, services and business arrangements.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience drafting and negotiating inbound and outbound commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, with minimal supervision.
  • Experience negotiating data protection agreements and advising on data privacy questions and concerns.
  • Experience with product and regulatory counseling related to healthcare, financial services, consumer protection, and data security.
  • Positive, friendly and collaborative attitude while maintaining the highest standards of business and professional conduct.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to respond to requests quickly and with excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, and a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on practical solutions that are geared towards reducing company risk while being fair and balanced.
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and efficiently, prioritize work and meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment, especially during quarter-end.

Bonus points for experience or an interest in:

  • Negotiating enterprise deals with enterprise customers in key APAC geographies such as Singapore, India and Indonesia
  • Local entity administration
  • Assisting with local employment-related matters
