 ABOUT THE ROLE

Mizzen+Main is seeking an experienced, driven, and fashion-forward Store Manager to lead our retail team. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for creating exceptional customer experience, developing a high-performing sales team, and ensuring smooth, efficient day-to-day operations of the store. A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Represent Mizzen+Main with professionalism, product expertise, and personal presentation.
  • Deliver and model best-in-class, personalized customer service to drive sales and build lasting customer relationships.
  • Maintain a welcoming, organized, and brand-aligned store environment.
  • Cultivate a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train sales associates and keyholders to perform at a high level.
  • Provide regular coaching, feedback, and team alignment through meetings and development sessions.
  • Oversee daily store operations, including inventory control, merchandising, and adherence to procedures.
  • Execute floor sets and visual displays that meet brand standards.
  • Maintain a clean, efficient stockroom for seamless product flow and replenishment.
  • Build weekly schedules based on traffic trends and business needs to ensure optimal floor coverage.
  • Review and submit accurate time sheets and payroll in compliance with company policies.
  • Set and manage sales goals through coaching and strategic planning.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics to the District Manager.
  • Manage expenses, operational costs, and inventory levels to meet financial targets.
  • Plan and execute engaging in-store events in partnership with the corporate marketing team.
  • Ensure team awareness and accurate communication of all promotions and offers.
  • Act as the lead escalation point for customer concerns, ensuring timely, respectful resolutions.
  • Build strong customer relationships to drive loyalty and repeat business.
  • Ensure all team members uphold Mizzen+Main’s operational policies and service expectations.
  • Promote company values in every customer and team interaction.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Previous retail management experience required (minimum 2+ years preferred).
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using POS systems, tablets, and retail management software.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
  • Available to work 5 days per week, including at least one weekend day.
  • Must be able to respond to store emergencies or fill in for absent team members when needed, even if outside of scheduled shifts.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Able to bend, reach, stretch for product as well as lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders, moving around regularly, and standing for extended periods of time.
