Austin, TX

At MNTN, we put our people first, full stop. This allows our company culture to be defined by our team members and their shared values, like trust, ambition, quality, radical honesty, and compassionate leadership. It’s why we all really love working for the Hardest Working Software in Television™ (and also why we were named one of Ad Age’s Best Places To Work in 2026.)

We pride ourselves on bringing unrivaled performance and simplicity to Connected TV advertising. Our self-serve technology makes running TV ads as easy as search and social, helping brands drive measurable conversions, revenue, site visits, and more. It’s what led MNTN to being named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies in 2023. You can learn more about us and everything we do by visiting https://mountain.com/.

We’re committed to innovation that empowers, not replaces. At MNTN, AI is a tool for growth, enhancing efficiency while keeping a people-first approach. Our goal is to streamline workflows and drive new solutions—without compromising the human element that makes our company great.

So if wanting to do more, own more, and make a bigger impact comes naturally to you, then you may be the person we're looking for to join us in our next stage of growth.

You’ve built pipeline. Now you’re ready to turn it into business.

MNTN is looking for an Associate Account Executive to join our Inside Sales team in Austin. You’ll help advertisers see what’s possible with Performance TV and build the skills to take a deal from first conversation to close.

This role is built for someone with 1-3 years of SDR or BDR experience who’s ready for their next step. You’ll bring strong prospecting habits, curiosity, and follow-through. We’ll bring hands-on coaching, product training, and opportunities to grow toward an Account Executive role as you demonstrate results.

This role works onsite from our Austin office.

What you’ll do

  • Build pipeline through outbound prospecting and timely follow-up on inbound leads, focusing on advertisers that are a strong fit for MNTN.
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand each advertiser’s business, goals, and challenges and connect those needs to Performance TV.
  • Run product demos and explain MNTN’s value in clear, practical terms that help advertisers make confident decisions.
  • Own sales opportunities from qualification through close, with coaching and support from your manager and experienced sellers.
  • Keep deals moving with clear next steps, thoughtful follow-up, and strong objection handling.
  • Maintain strong brand standards with clear & concise MNTN messaging via customer facing emails, social media, Linkedin and live calls.
  • Keep Salesforce current with accurate activity, opportunity details, and deal stages so your pipeline and forecast reflect what’s happening.
  • Partner with Revenue, Enablement, and Customer Success to sharpen your approach and give new customers a strong start.

What you’ll bring

  • 2 years of SDR, BDR, or similar sales experience, with a track record of building qualified pipeline and meeting goals.
  • Strong prospecting habits and the ability to prioritize accounts, personalize outreach, and follow through consistently.
  • Clear communication and active listening: you ask thoughtful questions and connect what you hear to what a customer needs.
  • Readiness to build discovery, demo, negotiation, and closing skills. Prior closing experience is welcome, but not required.
  • Comfort using Salesforce or a similar CRM, sales engagement tools, and AI tools thoughtfully to improve your work.
  • Ownership of your results, openness to feedback, and the ability to turn coaching into action.
  • Ability to work onsite in our Austin office and contribute to a collaborative team.

What success looks like

  • You build a steady pipeline of qualified opportunities through consistent prospecting and strong lead follow-up.
  • Your discovery conversations and demos connect MNTN’s capabilities to each advertiser’s goals.
  • You meet ramp milestones and progress toward your sales targets, taking greater ownership of deals as your skills grow.
  • Your pipeline is accurate, your next steps are clear, and customers and teammates can count on your follow-through.
  • You apply feedback, strengthen your closing skills, and demonstrate the performance and judgment needed to grow into an Account Executive role.
