
Contract Senior UI Programmer
Mob Entertainment is a startup multimedia studio that is best known for our hit indie horror game "Poppy Playtime". This franchise is one of the hottest new properties in gaming, and our team is naturally expanding as our ambition expands. To give a taste of our brand's popularity, more than 100 billion YouTube views of Poppy Playtime related content have occured since the game's launch 4 years ago.
Mob Entertainment is seeking a Senior UI Programmer with strong expertise in Unreal Engine to join our team on a contract basis for our next release. Collaborating closely with UI Designers, Engineers, and Technical Designers, you will play a key role in defining and implementing intuitive and performant user interface systems for our new and exciting projects. Responsibilities
- Work and coordinate with other team members and external team members to deliver your goals
- Develop new functionality in the underlying UI framework to support new gameplay features
- Designing and implementing well-engineered,reliable,scalable and robust code.
- Optimize and fix bugs in new and legacy systems
- Peer-review technical designs and documentation
- Identify technical and developmental risks and obstacles while creating solutions to overcome them
- Test, debug, profile, and optimize UI systems to ensure a high-quality experience.
- Support our growth culture and advocate knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Exceptional C++ programming skills
- Experience developing UI features for games across multiple platforms
- Familiarity and demonstrable passion for UI and great user experiences
- Demonstrable experience with UE4 or UE5 (including UMG, Slate, and Common UI)
- Comfortable with a wide range of code design patterns including OOP, DOP and MVVM programming
- Keen analytical mind and mature problem-solving skills
- Aptitude to explain and present technical solutions to both programmers and team members from other disciplines
- Familiarity with all tools used in day to day game development (Bug tracking software, communication tools, version control software etc.)
Qualifications
- 5+ years combined industry experience at other game development studios
- 2+ published PC or Console titles
