Job Description:

At Mobility Capital Finance Inc, we are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Senior Content Designer to join the Product team. In this role, you'll create user-centered content for our client's fintech products across app and web platforms, helping customers securely access and monitor their accounts. You’ll be responsible for writing and proofreading copy, designing content, and ensuring that our language aligns with our brand’s tone while meeting the needs of our diverse user base. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, client services, and marketing to create intuitive, user-friendly content that simplifies complex financial products. You'll participate in prototype refinement, analyze key metrics, and contribute to a fast-paced environment focused on delivering exceptional products.

This contract position is remote and will report to the Senior Director of UX Design.  

Timeframe:  6 months, Full-Time 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Content Strategy & Creation: Develop and implement content strategies that align with product goals and user needs within the Payments/Fintech domain.
  • Copywriting, Proofreading, and Editing: Write clear, concise, and compelling copy for a variety of formats, including web pages, product descriptions, help articles, UI elements, FAQs, and product marketing collateral. Proofread and edit content to ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment with our brand voice and tone.
  • Content Design: Collaborate with UX/UI designers to design content that enhances user experience. 
  • User-Focused Writing: Simplify complex financial concepts and jargon, making them accessible and understandable for a broad range of users.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Engineering, Client Services, Marketing, Legal, Compliance) to gather insights, ensure content aligns with product requirements, and address business goals.
  • Content Governance: Maintain content style guides and ensure consistency across all channels. Collaborate with other designers and developers to uphold best practices.
  • Testing & Iteration: Conduct A/B testing on content to gather insights and refine content strategies based on real user feedback and analytics.
  • Advocate for Design Excellence: Champion content design practices and advocate for the value of user-centered content in improving the overall product experience.
  • Organizational Excellence & Documentation: Stay organized across multiple content design features, track progress, and ensure all deadlines are met efficiently. Contribute to the Design System by creating and maintaining clear documentation for content workflows, design processes, and content decisions, ensuring consistency and alignment across teams.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Communications, English, or related field, OR 5+ years of experience as a Content Designer/UX Writer in fintech, payments, or banking (startup preferred).
  • 3+ years of design experience using Figma, and strong proficiency with other design/prototyping tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of content strategy, user flows, and user research, with experience conducting user testing and iterating based on feedback.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the payments/fintech industry, including regulatory environments, and the ability to translate complex financial concepts into user-friendly content.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt voice/tone for diverse audiences.
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development, strong collaboration skills, and proficiency in project management tools (Confluence, JIRA).
  • Knowledge of accessibility principles and experience creating/maintaining content documentation.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design process and thinking.
  • Must be permanently located and authorized to work in the United States.
