The Role:
Successful candidates will be responsible for providing compounding and mail order pharmacy services, including filling prescriptions, working with patients, and staying organized. This is not a retail location, so you will not be patient facing in person. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. We are looking for a professional who is highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills.
We believe that one size does not fit all in terms of patients and their medication needs. We take pride in customizing medications for those unique individuals.
We are in search of an optimistic, motivated team member with a keen eye for detail, who can self-direct, and work independently as well as with others. Also someone who has strong prioritizing and multitasking skills. Compounding experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing, verifying, and dispensing medications.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and medications.
- Keep track of inventory and re-order as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols when handling medications.
- Provide assistance to other departments as needed.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a pharmacist
- Multiple state licenses (MPJE) required
- Skilled in both sterile and non-sterile compounding
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 lbs
- Proficient in handling small tablets and manipulating objects manually
- Sensitive to differences in size, shape, temperature, and texture through tactile perception
- Sharp close vision with the ability to identify and distinguish colors
