About the Role:
Join Mochi Health as a Staff Designer and help us create intuitive, user-friendly experiences that make healthcare more accessible and effective. You’ll work closely with our product and engineering teams to design interfaces that are not only beautiful but also functional. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about design, eager to learn, and excited to contribute to a mission-driven company. This role reports to the Head of Design.
What You’ll Do:
- Design Systems: Maintain and scale the company’s internal design systems, ensuring consistency and usability across both internal tools and consumer-facing products.
- Marketing Design: Drive marketing design efforts by creating custom landing pages, brand guidelines, and impactful marketing collateral that align with business goals and user needs.
- Cross-Platform Design: Design scalable, responsive, and intuitive interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring a seamless experience across all platforms.
- Wireframing and Prototyping: Quickly iterate on design concepts, features, and user flows through low- and high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes.
- Collaboration: Partner with marketing teams, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align designs with user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
- Iterative Design: Leverage user research, feedback, and analytics to refine and improve designs, ensuring a continuous enhancement of the user experience.
- End-to-End Ownership: Own the entire design process, from ideation and concept development to final implementation and delivery.
- Mentorship: Support and mentor team members, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and excellence in design execution.
Who You Are:
- User-Centered: You have extensive experience conducting user research, usability testing, and leveraging insights to craft intuitive and impactful designs.
- Creative and Innovative: You bring a strong aesthetic eye and have demonstrated success in creating exceptional, user-focused interfaces across complex platforms.
- Detail-Oriented: You have a proven track record of delivering pixel-perfect designs with attention to detail, particularly across web and mobile platforms.
- Collaborative: You thrive in cross-functional environments and are skilled at working with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to create shared success.
- Curious and Growth-Oriented: You continuously stay ahead of UI/UX trends and techniques, regularly participating in industry workshops, conferences, or certifications.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating both graphic design, web and mobile design expertise.
- (Must Haves) Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, After Effects, Framer, Canva, and Instapage.
- Strong understanding of design systems and creating scalable UI components.
- Experience with user research and usability testing techniques.
- Experience with marketing design (i.e; landing pages, banners, email marketing)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and defend design decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and experience working on high-impact, user-facing products.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience designing for healthcare or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with front-end development (React, HTML/CSS, JavaScript) is a plus but not required.

The base salary for this full-time position ranges from $140,000 to $180,000, in addition to equity and benefits. The salary range listed in each job posting represents the minimum and maximum targets for new hire salaries across all locations. Actual compensation within this range is determined by various factors, such as job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and location.
