About the Role

Join Mochi Health as a Design Engineer at the intersection of design and engineering. You are full-stack product designers who can help us scale our design systems, streamline engineering handoff, and sweat the details post-prototype. The kind of designer who isn’t afraid to jump into GitHub to fix a layout bug, tweak copy, or improve accessibility, this role is for you. Bonus: enjoy building new components grounded in an existing design system.

What You'll Do

• Design and build clean, scalable UIs in Figma across mobile and web

• Translate product requirements into high-quality, performant, and user-friendly interfaces

• Create reusable, cross-platform components (iOS, Android, Web) that align with our design system

• Collaborate closely with engineers to iterate quickly and ship with speed

• Contribute to and maintain visual consistency through our evolving design system

Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience across both product design and front-end development

• Are familiar with React and React Native, especially for mobile-first experiences

• Know Tailwind CSS deeply and are comfortable with CSS-in-JS or utility-first styling

• Obsess over polish, performance, and delivering excellent end-user experiences

• Work well in ambiguity, move fast, and take ownership without being asked

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in product design and front-end engineering

• Strong proficiency with Figma and familiar with React, React Native, and Tailwind CSS

• Experience designing and building mobile-first interfaces that scale

• Solid grasp of responsive UI frameworks and mobile interaction patterns

• A portfolio that highlights real product work you’ve shipped — not just concepts

• (Bonus): Experience designing for consumer, healthcare, or other regulated industries.

The base salary for this full-time position ranges from $180,000 to $230,000, in addition to equity and benefits. The salary range listed in each job posting represents the minimum and maximum targets for new hire salaries across all locations. Actual compensation within this range is determined by various factors, such as job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and location.
