About The Role
Mochi Health is seeking a General Manager, Diagnostics. The main role is to own and scale our diagnostics and lab testing experience end to end. You will set the product strategy and lead execution for everything that happens from test selection and ordering, to specimen collection, lab processing, results delivery, and follow-up workflows.
In this role, you will be the center of excellence for lab operations and lab product experience. You will define the roadmap, set KPIs, and partner closely with engineering, clinical, operations, analytics, and external lab vendors to deliver a testing experience that is fast, reliable, and trusted. You will drive improvements across turnaround time, completion rates, exception reduction, and patient and provider clarity, with an emphasis on building systems that scale. You will report directly to the CEO.
The ideal candidate combines strong product judgment with operational rigor, has experience building regulated healthcare workflows, and is comfortable owning ambiguous, cross-functional problems in a fast-moving startup environment.
What You’ll Do
- Own all aspects of the labs product strategy and execution: roadmap, requirements, launches, measurement, and iteration across diagnostics and lab workflows
- Define the patient and provider experience for lab testing, including ordering, logistics, status visibility, results delivery, and escalation handling
- Set and hit key performance targets including turnaround time, completion rate, redraw rate, exception rate, and cost per completed test
- Partner with engineering to build scalable infrastructure for lab integrations, status tracking, and results ingestion and presentation
- Work cross-functionally with clinical, operations, and support to reduce manual work, standardize policies, and eliminate repeat failure modes
- Manage external lab partners and vendors, including performance monitoring, SLAs, and operational process improvement
- Build and grow the labs product function, including hiring, developing, and mentoring team members as the program scales
Who You Are
- 5-7+ years of product management experience, preferably in healthcare, diagnostics, or operationally complex consumer health products
- Proven track record building end-to-end workflows that involve external vendors, logistics, and high reliability requirements
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with comfort defining metrics, running experiments, and diagnosing funnel drop-off and exceptions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to align clinical, technical, and operational stakeholders around clear priorities
- Bias toward action and high-velocity iteration, with strong judgment in regulated environments and patient-safety-critical workflows
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building processes that scale in a rapidly growing startup
