House Manager
Healthcare is broken at the first step: patients can't find the right care, understand what it costs, or access the medications they need. Mochi Health is fixing this.
We're building an AI-driven marketplace that makes healthcare discoverable—connecting patients to the right providers, transparent pharmacy pricing, and affordable medications. Over the past few years, we've grown rapidly by combining clinical expertise with technology that actually works for real people, not just hospital systems.
Our platform does what legacy healthcare can't: it gives patients transparent pricing before they pay, personalized medication management that follows them across providers, and long-term access to their own medical records. We're proving that healthcare can be more affordable, more human, and far more intuitive than what exists today.
Join a team that's rebuilding healthcare from the patient up. At Mochi Health, you'll work alongside people who value bold thinking, inclusive collaboration, and getting meaningful work into the world. If you want to do the most impactful work of your career, this is where to do it.
Salary Range: $100,000–$140,000
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced, highly organized House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a private residence in San Francisco. This role will serve as the central point of coordination for the household, with particular responsibility for active renovation and interior design projects, vendors, maintenance, scheduling, and household logistics.
The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership of many moving pieces at once. You should be someone who anticipates needs, follows through without requiring significant oversight, and communicates clearly when decisions or approvals are needed.
Work Location
This is a full-time, in-person role based primarily at a private residence in San Francisco. The House Manager will work onsite as needed to oversee household operations, renovation projects, vendors, deliveries, appointments, and other household needs. This is NOT an office-based position. Occasional local travel and evening or weekend availability may be required depending on household, renovation, or event needs.
What You'll Do
- Own day-to-day household operations, keeping the home organized, stocked, functional, and well maintained
- Manage the household calendar for renovation milestones, vendor appointments, deliveries, repairs, installations, maintenance, and personal household commitments
- Oversee active renovation and design projects by coordinating contractors, designers, architects, installers, and vendors; track timelines, dependencies, approvals, and open items
- Proactively flag schedule risks, follow up on overdue items, resolve routine blockers, and escalate decisions early to prevent renovation delays
- Be onsite for contractors, vendors, deliveries, repairs, and household appointments; provide access, document progress, and confirm work is completed correctly
- Maintain clear trackers for renovation progress, projects, vendor visits, orders, returns, receipts, payments, warranties, and outstanding tasks
- Coordinate household repairs and recurring maintenance, including quotes, scheduling, follow-up, and final completion
- Manage inventory and restocking for groceries, pantry items, toiletries, cleaning products, pet supplies, and other recurring essentials
- Handle errands and personal tasks, including dry cleaning, returns, packages, prescriptions, donations, gifting, mail, and other ad hoc requests
- Support house events and hosting needs, including vendor timing, catering deliveries, setup, decorating, guest supplies, and breakdown
- Coordinate pet-care needs, including food and water, supply replenishment, and arranging care as needed
- Drive the principal's vehicle as needed for service, repairs, detailing, fueling or charging, registration needs, and approved errands
- Provide concise updates on completed work, upcoming appointments, spending, delays, and items requiring approval
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience as a house manager, personal assistant, family assistant, estate assistant, or in a similar role
- Experience coordinating home renovations, construction, interior design projects, or complex vendor schedules
- Strong project-management skills with the ability to manage calendars, deadlines, dependencies, and multiple active workstreams
- Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
- Excellent judgment and discretion when working in a private home and handling sensitive information
- Comfortable communicating with contractors and vendors, documenting progress, and escalating issues early
- Flexible for occasional evening or weekend needs tied to events, urgent repairs, deliveries, or renovation work
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and comfort driving the homeowner's vehicle; comfortable with pets and routine household errands
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting a founder, executive, or high-profile household
- Familiarity with household budgeting, expense tracking, invoice organization, and San Francisco service providers
- Experience with Google Calendar, Google Drive, spreadsheets, Notion, or similar task-management tools
