Merchandising Assistant
We are seeking a Merchandise Assistant (MA) to join our Non-Apparel team.
The Merchandising Assistant will support the Non-Apparel team and collaborate with cross-functional partners and vendors to drive sales for the Trunk Show and Boutique businesses.
Primary Responsibilities, include:
- Support the Non-Apparel teams across all business channels including Trunkshow, and Handbags & Accessories team across Boutique and Mirakl
- Manage the trunkshow launch process and calendar, inclusive of vendor communication and product & image upload
- Own all purchase order management, responsible for submitting PO’s weekly post trunkshow launches
- Analyze and learn about Moda Operandi's vendors and department performance by assisting with pulling vendor sales history for Market Prep and attending weekly team meetings
- Support the team in the vendor onboarding process and setup in Moda’s internal CMS system
- Assist with informational decks and other special projects, as needed
- Assist with product setup and asset management including product page imagery, copy templates, MSDS and editorial content
- Assist with sample requests for potential sales with Private Client Advisors (PCA’s) and the studio team for upcoming launches
- Monitor and update weekly uploads for product errors
- Work with shipping and transportation team with International checklists and country shipping restrictions
- Manage and update product pricing as needed
- Support the Buyers on the launch checklist and calendar
- Assist with the upkeep and management of team Google sheets and documents
Qualifications/Ideal Experience:
- You have a bachelor’s degree preferably in fashion or merchandising
- Detailed oriented, organized, and able to multi-task
- Flexible and adaptable to ever-changing, fast-paced, and high-growth environment
- Pro-active and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve process
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical skills and reasoning ability
- Able to work within a team and with all cross-functional partners
- Proficient in Excel and Photoshop with an aptitude for learning new programs
- Willing to execute priorities with a sense of urgency

Job Type: Full-time; hybrid role; NYC based (Industry City Brooklyn office space)
Salary: $23 - $27 per hour + Discretionary Bonus & Equity Eligible
