Please Note: We have ONE opening for a Senior Operations Analyst that can be based in one of our many office locations: Asheville, NC; Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; Westwood, NJ.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the administration and management of the Portfolio Management System including:
    • Following procedures (daily, monthly, quarterly audits) to ensure Portfolio Management System is kept up to date.
      • Daily/Monthly/Quarterly Data Maintenance.
        • New Account, Group, Household, and Client set up
        • Closed Account, Group, Household, and Client clean up
        • Billing Set Up and Maintenance
        • Reconciling Accounts Receivables
      • Daily/Monthly/Quarterly Data Reconciliation.
    • Interfacing with custodians and daily data files.
    • Daily/Monthly/Quarterly Data Reconciliation.
    • Reviewing and troubleshooting any issues found in client account performance.
    • Reviewing and troubleshooting any issues found in client billing.
    • Supporting quarterly performance reporting and billing processes.
    • Assisting with oversight and management of system and data integration during Mergers/Acquisitions.
  • Assisting in the administration and management of the CRM system including:
    • Perform ad‐hoc and recurring data audits.
    • Support the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of internal firm processes and workflows.
    • Continuously review and revise internal processes to increase efficiency and standardize processes firm wide.
    • Assist with the oversight and management of System and Data Integration during Mergers/Acquisitions.
  • Partnering with various departments on ad-hoc project work.
  • Daily Operations task management.
  • Assist with training of new employees.
  • Conduct routine data audits to ensure the integrity of client data across multiple platforms.
  • Facilitate implementation of new software.
  • Compile various required reports (i.e., Business Development, Surveys, Benchmarking, Insurance, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the Compliance team:
    • Assist with data gathering, data maintenance, and reporting for both internal and external required compliance reporting.
    • Assist with testing policies and procedures and documenting results.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team by:
    • Assisting with data gathering, data maintenance, and reporting for both internal and external required financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams (i.e., Wealth Management Team, IT Team, Portfolio Management Team).

Qualifications for this position:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years at senior operations level.
  • Operations experience at an independent SEC registered RIA.
  • Highly proficient in computer software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in M&A integration of back-office systems and data.
  • A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Interest in building operational platforms and efficiencies.
  • Detail-oriented with demand for a high degree of accuracy.
  • Superb communication skills.
  • Solid strategic thinker, problem solver and decision maker.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive execution and results.
  • Team player, able to work well with all levels of the firm.
  • Adaptability and flexibility are required; ability to work under pressure and beyond standard hours during busy periods to meet firm needs.
  • This position interacts with virtually every Modera staff member and requires excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in rebalancing and portfolio management software packages is a plus.
  • Knowledge of investment-related taxation and portfolio construction topics desired but not required.
  • Occasional travel may be required
