The Customer Education - Video Editor will be responsible for editing both new and legacy client/internal education content, ensuring each project meets high-quality standards and deadlines. This role demands a keen eye for detail, creativity, and the ability to follow directions closely while making updates swiftly. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in video and script editing with the capability to navigate and maintain organized project folders on Google Drive. Experience with Camtasia is preferred, but training will be provided
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Edit educational videos for clients and internal use, ensuring they meet Customer Education standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand requirements and deadlines.
- Manage and organize video files and project folders in Google Drive, maintaining a clean and structured system.
- Make swift updates to existing content based on feedback and evolving requirements.
- Utilize Camtasia for video editing tasks, with training provided as needed.
- Incorporate basic video and scrip editing techniques to enhance the educational content.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure all videos are polished and professional.
- Follow detailed directions from the project team, consistently meeting deadlines.
- Engage in regular communication with project teams to provide updates on progress and address any issues that arise.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure consistency and quality across all educational content.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to video editing software or file management
- Assist in the development and maintenance of video content standards and procedures
- Provide technical support and training to team members on the use of Camtasia as needed.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelors degree – Mandatory
- Proven experience as a Video Editor; experience with educational or instructional content is a plus
- Fundamental knowledge of video and script editing techniques
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to follow detailed directions and meet tight deadlines consistently.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain a clean and structured file management system, particularly on Google Drive.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and adapt to new software and technologies quickly.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to managing workload and deadlines
- A basic understanding of educational content and client education standards is an asset.
