ModMed is hiring a driven Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and development of ModMed's Klara Team, one of our fastest-growing shared platforms. This is a unique opportunity to join a team of talented individuals and influence the architecture and technical direction of a highly available, high-traffic, robust cloud based platform within a fast-paced Healthcare IT company that is truly Modernizing Medicine!

Your Role:

Lead architectural and design efforts using .NET technologies, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with business goals.
Set the technical vision and drive high engineering standards within the team.
Partner with cross-functional teams to define and maintain a clear technical roadmap.
Translate complex business requirements into actionable technical deliverables and milestones.
Own the quality of deliverables by ensuring they meet both functional and non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, security, reliability).
Drive iterative improvements through design, code, and operational reviews.
Foster a culture of engineering excellence, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
Evaluate and integrate new technologies where appropriate to keep our stack modern and efficient.

Skills & Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or staff engineer role.
Deep expertise in C#/.NET Core, ASP.NET, and related Microsoft technologies.
Strong understanding of relational databases (SQL Server/PostgreSQL) and data modeling.
Hands-on experience designing and operating cloud-native solutions, preferably on Azure or AWS.
Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) is a plus.
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) preferred.
Proven success leading high-impact engineering initiatives and mentoring engineers.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Experience in healthcare is a strong plus.
