The Impact You’ll Be Contributing to Moloco: 

As the Head of Machine Learning, MCM, you’ll be the senior technical lead for MCM’s ML modeling stack—owning core CTR/CVR and retrieval models that directly move ad spend and revenue for our commerce media customers. You’ll lead a team of industry ML experts and shape how we design, ship, and maintain production ML across multiple platforms, while mentoring those experts and scaling the engineering practices and rigors.

The Opportunity: 

• Lead technical strategy and direction for MCM ML, building next generation recommendation ML architecture, while constantly delivering measurable impacts.
• Own end‑to‑end model lifecycle (design, offline eval, deployment, ramp, monitoring) for production models that power multiple MCM platforms
• Drive initiatives to scale ML infrastructure to support millions of model trainings for thousands of models and improve maintainability and unlock future modeling work.
• Set experimentation and rollout standards, including ramp plans by platform tier, offline→online validation, and go/no‑go decisions.
• Partner crossfunctionally with Product, Strategic Growth, Business Development, Infra, Data Science, and Engineering to turn customer and QBR feedback into features and signals (e.g., discounts, coupons, metadata) for better personalization.
• Ensure reliability of ML in production, working with engineering and oncall to investigate rollout issues, debug edge cases, and define safe remediation before ramping.
• Manage and grow ML experts in the team, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and career development, and acting as hiring manager for senior/staff MLE roles. 

How Do I Know if the Role is Right For Me?

• 7+ years in applied ML, especially in state-of-the-art recommendation modeling, including shipping large‑scale ranking, transformer/embedding-based CTR/CVR and retrieval models.
• Experience owning ML systems end‑to‑end—data, modeling, ML infra, and production monitoring.
• Strong experimentation experience, including designing A/B tests, interpreting noisy results, and making principled rollout decisions across platform tiers.
• Fluent in Python and modern ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow or equivalent) and comfortable working with large‑scale data and cloud‑based infra.
• 5+ years of management or tech lead experience leading a team of 7+ engineers
