The Opportunity 

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated senior level Full Stack Developer to join our talented engineering team and contribute to the development of the cutting-edge software platform for our battery energy storage systems (BESS). As a Full Stack Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and scaling the cloud services, APIs, and web applications that monitor and control our entire fleet of energy assets. You will work closely with hardware engineers, product managers, and data scientists to create a seamless, robust, and user-friendly experience for both our internal teams and our customers.

The Role

Location: Remote, with occasional travel to our office in Vancouver, BC

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Leading the design and development of both front-end and back-end systems.
  • Selecting, integrating, and maintaining cloud services.
  • Leading database architecture and implementation efforts.
  • Implementing testing frameworks to ensure product stability and safety.
  • Integrating Moment Energy hardware with developed cloud services.
  • Hiring and team build-out efforts.

The Candidate

We’re looking for individuals with the following traits, skills, and experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in full stack software development, with a proven track record of building and deploying scalable web applications.
  • MUST have IoT data experience, connecting internet to electronics. This is not negotiable!
  • Experience leading technical product development efforts and bringing projects to market.
  • Experience designing scalable front-end and back-end architectures.
  • Experience with non-relational databases such as MongoDB.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as React.
  • Experience designing scalable and intuitive user interfaces.
  • A desire to lead software teams and mentor junior developers.
  • Candidates must be able to travel to the Vancouver, BC office at least one time every two months.
