The Opportunity
The Supply Chain Manager will lead and scale our supply chain operations as we grow. This role will be responsible for supplier management, strategic sourcing, logistics oversight, BOM and inventory planning to ensure our production teams have the materials they need, when they need them. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, capable of building resilient supplier networks while continuously improving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities and Duties
Supplier Management & Strategic Sourcing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable delivery, quality, and competitive pricing.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers to strengthen supply chain resilience and reduce single-source risks.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms while monitoring supplier performance.
Supply Chain Planning & Purchasing
- Ensure timely sourcing of components listed in the Bill of Materials (BOM) to support production schedules.
- Forecast purchasing requirements and align procurement with production plans and demand projections.
- Organize, track and manage procurement spending within BOM cost targets while identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure clarity and visibility of BOM cost estimates for all projects
Logistics & Inventory Management
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics and support the Supply Chain Coordinator in coordinating shipments and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Work with production and warehouse teams to maintain accurate inventory levels and efficient material flow.
- Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs and improve logistics efficiency while supporting sustainability goals.
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor the Supply Chain Team, providing clear direction, performance feedback, and professional development support.
- Establish and track supply chain metrics and OKRs, reporting progress to leadership.
- Support hiring, on-boarding, and development of future supply chain team members as the company grows.
Continuous Improvement & Risk Management
- Proactively identify supply risks, market changes, and potential disruptions, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Improve supply chain processes, tools, and documentation to increase visibility, efficiency, quality and scalability.
- Optimize our supply chain to reduce tariff risk and work cross functionally to ensure our products meet ITC compliance in Canada and the USA
- Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure supply chain strategy supports overall company goals.
The Candidate
We’re looking for individuals with the following traits, skills, and experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field required.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive supply chain management experience, including 3+ years leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in ERP system optimization.
- Experience leading continuous improvement and process using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong communication and leadership presence, capable of engaging across all organizational levels.
- Advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with demonstrated business acumen.
- Start-up experience is highly desirable.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Experience with lithium-ion battery systems and battery management systems (BMS).
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards for batteries and energy storage, such as UL 1974 and UL 9540
