The Role
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Director of Marketing who thrives in high-growth startup environments and understands how to build a powerful brand in an emerging industry.
This role will define and execute the long-term marketing strategy to accelerate Moment Energy’s growth, market presence, and industry leadership. You will work closely with executive leadership and collaborate across Sales, Product, and R&D to translate market insights into impactful marketing initiatives.
You will also build and lead a high-performing marketing team, currently overseeing our Marketing Manager, Content Creator, and Web Designer, while developing scalable marketing systems that drive demand, customer engagement, and revenue growth.

Responsibilities and Duties
Brand Leadership
- Define and lead Moment Energy’s global brand strategy and positioning to establish the company as a leader in cleantech and second-life battery solutions.
- Ensure a best-in-class digital presence and cohesive messaging across all channels, markets, and touchpoints.
- Establish brand governance and ensure consistency across all internal and external communications.
- Develop compelling corporate narratives for media, investors, customers, and strategic partners.
Growth & Demand Generation
- Design and optimize the entire customer journey, from brand awareness through lead generation, conversion, and long-term customer advocacy.
- Partner closely with Sales leadership to drive marketing-sourced pipeline and revenue.
- Develop clear KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure marketing performance and ROI.
- Continuously test and scale growth initiatives that improve conversion and accelerate revenue.
Market Strategy
- Translate market insights, customer needs, and competitive intelligence into a multi-year strategic marketing roadmap.
- Collaborate with Product, R&D, and Sales to develop product positioning and go-to-market strategies for new offerings.
- Lead competitive analysis efforts and identify strategic opportunities to strengthen Moment Energy’s market position.
Resource & Partnership Management
- Own and manage the marketing budget and marketing P&L, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and measurable impact.
- Build and manage relationships with agencies, vendors, and strategic partners to extend Moment Energy’s marketing reach and capabilities.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing marketing team across content, digital, and brand functions.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment where creativity and data-driven decision making thrive.
- Champion a customer-centric mindset across the organization.
The Candidate
We’re looking for individuals with the following traits, skills, and experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field required.
- 8+ years of marketing experience with 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience in high-growth startups or scale-ups, ideally Series A–C.
- Background in manufacturing, cleantech, energy, hardware, or industrial technology.
- Proven success building and scaling marketing programs that drive measurable growth.
- Strong strategic thinker with the ability to execute hands-on in a startup environment.
- Deep expertise in brand development, demand generation, and market positioning.
- Experience working closely with sales teams to drive pipeline and revenue impact.
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills for executive, investor, and public audiences.
- Data-driven mindset with strong experience measuring marketing ROI.
- Ability to influence cross-functional leaders across product, engineering, and sales.
- Start-up experience is highly desirable.
