JOB SUMMARY
The Area Manager at SWTHZ is a dynamic leader responsible for overseeing the performance, operations, and growth of multiple studio locations within a designated area. This role is instrumental in ensuring all studios maintain SWTHZ’s high standards in operations, sales, and member experience, while supporting and developing Studio Managers and their teams. The Area Manager acts as a regional coach, strategist, and connector between studio leadership and corporate support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Area Studio Oversight
- Provide strategic and hands-on operational support to Studio Managers across the assigned region.
- Lead by example and uphold SWTHZ’s culture, values, and brand standards across all locations.
- Drive revenue growth across multiple studios, including memberships, retail, and ancillary services.
- Monitor and analyze studio KPIs; identify trends and implement initiatives to improve performance.
- Conduct regular site visits and operational audits to ensure brand consistency and excellence.
- Ensure studios are delivering best-in-class member experiences and maintain high facility standards.
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, hire, and train new Studio Managers and key team members.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and leadership development for studio leadership teams.
- Facilitate regular performance check-ins, goal setting, and professional growth plans.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and empowerment throughout the region.
Operational Execution
- Support studios in managing staffing needs, scheduling, and labor optimization.
- Partner with Studio Managers on local marketing, event planning, and community engagement.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and operational protocols.
- Troubleshoot studio challenges and provide effective, timely solutions.
Communication & Collaboration
- Act as the primary liaison between studio teams and corporate leadership.
- Communicate updates, initiatives, and strategic goals clearly and consistently.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, finance, HR, and training departments to support studio success.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in multi-unit fitness, wellness, or retail operations.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of driving team performance and revenue growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Strong business acumen and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Passionate about health, wellness, and creating exceptional member experiences.
- Proficiency in fitness management software, CRM tools, and reporting platforms.
- Willingness and availability to travel regularly within the assigned region.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Physical efforts required for daily duties, including squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, jumping, and prolonged standing and walking

COMPENSATION: $90,000 annually
