Position Summary:

Reporting into the Innovation organization, this role partners closely with Applied Science, Product, Marketing, Retail, and Ecommerce to ensure the Momentous "why" and the science behind our products are translated into commercially effective, accurate messaging across every customer touchpoint.

The Director of Science Integration is responsible for translating Product Science's clinical research, ingredient science, and formulation work into clear, accurate, and commercially compelling language that Marketing, Retail, and Ecommerce teams can use with confidence. This role sits at the intersection of science and commercial execution — ensuring the rigor behind every product is understood, trusted, and effectively activated in the market without being oversimplified or diluted. The ideal candidate combines strong scientific literacy (at the Master's or PhD level) with commercial fluency, translating dense scientific language into messaging that drives marketing campaigns, retail sell-sheets, and ecommerce product content.

Responsibilities:

Science Translation for Commercial Teams

  •       Translate clinical research, ingredient science, and formulation data from Applied Science into clear, commercially effective language for Marketing campaigns, retail sell-sheets, and ecommerce product pages.
  •       Partner directly with Marketing to ensure campaign messaging, product claims, and positioning are scientifically accurate while remaining compelling and on-brand.
  •       Partner with Retail teams to develop science-backed sell-sheets, buyer presentations, and in-store education materials that support sell-through.
  •       Partner with Ecommerce to optimize product detail pages, FAQs, and comparison content with clear, accurate science-based language that supports conversion.
  •       Maintain a library of ingredient and science explainers that Marketing, Retail, and Ecommerce teams can draw from for consistent, accurate messaging.
  •       Produce rapid-response briefs on emerging scientific studies or industry developments relevant to Momentous's product categories, with commercial implications flagged for Marketing and Retail.

Internal Enablement

  •       Develop training materials and talking points for Marketing, Retail, Ecommerce, and Customer Experience teams so they can confidently and accurately speak to product science.
  •       Lead an internal product education series to build product and science literacy across commercial teams.
  •       Serve as the go-to resource for Marketing, Retail, and Ecommerce when translating Applied Science findings into digestible, commercially usable formats.

Credibility & Trust Building

  •       Partner with Applied Science and Quality to ensure all public-facing claims are scientifically substantiated and accurately represented.
  •       Support transparency initiatives (e.g., Certificate of Analysis literacy, testing standard explainers) that reinforce Momentous's trust-first brand positioning.
  •       Review consumer-facing content and campaign messaging for scientific accuracy prior to publication.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  •       Act as the bridge between Applied Science/R&D and Marketing/Brand, ensuring messaging is both scientifically sound and brand-aligned.
  •       Collaborate with Product and Applied Science on new formulations or product launches to ensure education strategy is built in from the start, not added after the fact.
  •       Represent the science communications perspective during Innovation Phase Gate reviews and product launch planning.

Qualifications:

Required

  • PhD in Nutrition, Nutritional Biochemistry, Exercise Physiology, Food Science, Physiology, or a related scientific discipline strongly preferred. Master's degree with significant relevant experience will also be considered.
  • 8+ years of experience in applied research, scientific affairs, product science, or R&D within dietary supplements, consumer health, food, or life sciences.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating scientific literature and translating evidence into product strategy.
  • Experience supporting product development, ingredient evaluation, and claim substantiation.
  • Strong understanding of FDA and FTC regulations applicable to dietary supplements.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Experience designing or overseeing human clinical research.
  • Peer-reviewed publications or demonstrated scientific thought leadership.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
