Position Summary:

The Vice President of Digital leads Momentous’ digital business and customer experience, setting the strategy and operating model across Growth Marketing, Ecommerce, Amazon, Customer Success, Lifecycle Marketing, and Retention. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role helps shape company strategy, establishes enterprise priorities, and ensures the digital organization is aligned to Momentous’ broader growth and business objectives.

This role leads the functional leaders across digital and ensures the organization operates as an integrated, high-performing growth engine. The VP of Digital establishes priorities, aligns investment and resources, and drives sustainable growth across acquisition, conversion, retention, marketplace performance, and customer experience while partnering with Marketing, Brand, Creative, Product, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations. 

The VP of Digital combines enterprise-level leadership, commercial strategy, team development, and operational rigor with a strong focus on performance, accountability, and continuous improvement across the full digital customer journey.

This role reports to the Co-Founder. 

Responsibilities:

Executive Leadership & Business Performance

  • Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to company strategy, annual planning, organizational priorities, and key business decisions.
  • Represent the digital organization in executive discussions, ensuring digital opportunities, performance, customer insights, and risks inform broader company strategy.
  • Translate company objectives into clear digital priorities, investment strategies, operating plans, and performance goals.
  • Establish performance frameworks and business reviews that provide visibility into growth, efficiency, customer behavior, and key opportunities.
  • Partner with executive and cross-functional leaders to align resources, resolve barriers, and drive enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Communicate digital performance, strategic recommendations, opportunities, and risks to executive leadership and key stakeholders.

Digital Strategy & Growth

  • Set the long-term digital strategy across Growth Marketing, Ecommerce, Amazon, Lifecycle Marketing, Retention, and Customer Service.
  • Lead and develop the leaders responsible for the overseen functions..
  • Establish clear accountability, operating rhythms, and performance expectations across the digital organization.
  • Ensure functional strategies are coordinated and collectively support broader company objectives.
  • Build scalable teams, processes, and capabilities that support continued growth.

DTC & Digital Commerce

  • Oversee Momentous .com strategy and performance, including site experience, merchandising, conversion, and digital commerce optimization.
  • Guide Amazon strategy and performance through the channel’s functional leadership.
  • Ensure digital commerce experiences consistently support Momentous’ premium brand positioning and business objectives.

Growth, Lifecycle & Retention

  • Set the strategic direction for customer acquisition, lifecycle marketing, and retention.
  • Align Growth Marketing and Lifecycle teams around customer economics, channel performance, and long-term customer value.
  • Drive an integrated approach to acquisition, conversion, repeat purchase, and retention across digital channels.

Customer Experience

  • Provide strategic leadership for Customer Service and the broader digital customer experience.
  • Ensure customer insights and feedback inform digital strategy, retention initiatives, and experience improvements.
  • Drive alignment across customer-facing functions to create a consistent and high-quality Momentous experience.

Business Performance & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Establish performance frameworks and business reviews that provide visibility into growth, efficiency, customer behavior, and key opportunities.
  • Use data and customer insights to guide investment decisions, prioritization, and optimization.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align digital priorities with broader business objectives.
  • Communicate digital performance, opportunities, risks, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Ecommerce, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience across high-growth digital, ecommerce, or related consumer goods businesses.
  • Proven experience leading senior functional leaders and building high-performing organizations across multiple digital disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to enterprise strategy and partnering with executive leadership on business planning, investment, and organizational priorities.

  • Strong commercial and strategic leadership with a track record of driving sustainable digital growth and business performance.
  • Deep understanding of ecommerce, customer acquisition, conversion, lifecycle marketing, retention, and customer experience.
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen with the ability to make investment and prioritization decisions across a portfolio of growth opportunities.
  • Exceptional executive communication, organizational leadership, and cross-functional influence.
  • Balances long-term enterprise strategy with operational rigor, accountability, and execution.
