The Opportunity
Momentum is seeking a Director of Strategic Procurement to join our team. This is a dynamic role where you will be encouraged to drive, challenge and improve our existing systems and processes in order to create a best-in-class procurement function, supporting our fast-growing digital family of companies. In this role, the successful candidate will refine the existing procurement strategies, policies and procedures for a company in growth mode, while also being hands-on to execute and drive projects to completion. You will be responsible for working with stakeholders across the business to ensure business requirements are properly defined and evaluated holistically across our companies. The initial focus will be in the areas of cloud storage/services, SaaS/Software agreements, IT and Travel/Entertainment. You will be responsible for leveraging our scale in pricing negotiations and developing best-in-class systems/structure to support our company growth
About This Role at Momentum
As a Director of Strategic Procurement at Momentum, your days will be dynamic and filled with opportunities to contribute to our mission. Here's a glimpse into what your overall responsibilities might look like:
- Develop and maintain procurement strategy for enterprise spend, linking strategic plans to the company-wide vision and growth plan
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to proactively define business requirements, understand cost drivers and develop strategies to optimize spend and run point on enterprise RFPs
- Communicate and evangelize procurement value add to all leadership members and stakeholders
- Demonstrates the ability to negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and maintains vendor relationships while minimizing risk to the business
- Identify cost savings through strategic sourcing, consolidation opportunities and internal measures i.e. appropriate count for S/W licensing and correct license types
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders to identify strategic procurement opportunities
- Perform market analysis to determine benchmarks for pricing and competitive bids
- Drive the implementation of a mature strategic sourcing process and vendor consolidation focus for Momentum companies
- Significant experience with sourcing and implementing enterprise level software
- Provide continuous written and verbal updates to the business partners, vendors and other stakeholders on the status of deal
- Has superior project management skills and can effectively communicate timelines and drive next steps
- Establish clear and measurable goals and KPIs to ensure sustainable growth and maturity of the procurement function
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement/Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- Possesses 8-10 years of related experience, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience
- Has a proven track record to be a “hands on” leader with an eagerness to contribute and deliver results
- Is highly collaborative by nature; transparent and open-minded
- Can provide specific examples of being a results-oriented, metrics-driven leader with expertise in purchasing and vendor collaboration
- Has experience creating and implementing company-wide/centralized processes
- Is well organized, a self-starter and self-directed
- Possesses excellent communication skills and executive presence/poise
- Can handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment, navigating ambiguity and remaining agile.

The base salary range for this position may vary based on location. Actual compensation will be determined by role, level, and location, considering additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. For roles eligible for remote work, the base salary is tailored to the designated work location. In addition to the base salary, candidates may be eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus, determined based on both the company's business performance and individual contributions. The People & Culture team will provide specific details during the hiring process.
