Risk & Analytics Program Lead

As the Risk & Analytics Program Lead you will be responsible for working with business partners and IT to support the Risk & Analytics’ team cross functional initiatives; manage and prioritize the projects, gathering, authoring, and refining requirements; coordinating releases; collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders; managing risks; and making timely decisions to deliver small and large cross function objectives. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop a deep understanding of the needs of the Risk & Analytics department to inform and better execute the team’s initiatives. 
  • Communicate vision and progress across stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency. 
  • Align with Risk leadership and Product Managers on common strategies and manage cross-team dependencies. 
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across stakeholder groups. 
  • Partner and coordinate with IT, Commercial Business, marketing, ops, and other teams to prioritize, define, and execute new product launches and product enhancements. 
  • Partner with teams and managers to gather requirements and facilitate projects. 
  • Co-develop user stories, with the help of partners, and manage the backlog.
  • Lead, plan, and track the initiative through all phases of the lifecycle from project inception to launch. 
  • Act as the primary contact for the IT team for information, work prioritization, and decision-making. 
  • Provide support to the final approver of Risk & Analytics related releases, ensuring proper change management, testing, and user acceptance has been completed. 
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with change management. 
  • Work closely with Fraud, Risk, Collections and other supporting functions to understand and help implement business process changes based on evolving needs. 
  • Contribute to and participate in steering committees and project meetings to provide status on ongoing projects and production defects. 

 

EDUCATION  

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field is required. 

 

EXPERIENCE  

  • 5-7 years of proven experience in a similar role 
  • Prior experience in financial services with exposure to technical aspects of a risk management function 

 

SKILLS 

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and other project management frameworks 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Experience with product lifecycle management, from inception to market introduction 
  • Proficiency in using product management tools and software (i.e. Trello, Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, GanttPRO)  
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders 
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality products
