The Job: Senior Product Owner
As a Senior Product Owner, you will partner with business owners and executives to shape the product vision and roadmap. You will prioritize the backlog, refine business requirements, and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring smooth delivery across design, technology, and operations. This role requires balancing customer needs with business objectives, while managing risks, making decisions, and ensuring quality outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends to guide product decisions

  • Collaborate with technology teams to align product vision with technical solutions and architecture

  • Communicate product vision and progress clearly to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency

  • Gather and incorporate feedback from internal and external stakeholders to adjust product strategy

  • Partner with UX/UI teams to deliver seamless, intuitive customer experiences

  • Coordinate with IT, commercial, marketing, operations, and other teams to drive new product launches and enhancements

  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for development teams

  • Co-develop user stories with Business Analysts and manage backlog prioritization using Agile practices

  • Lead feature prioritization and ensure delivery of the most impactful features on time

  • Plan and track the product lifecycle from inception to launch, ensuring operational readiness

  • Act as the primary contact for IT teams, prioritizing work and supporting decision-making

  • Approve releases, ensuring high-quality delivery in partnership with QA teams

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, maintaining focus on security and privacy

  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the product lifecycle

  • Collaborate with Fraud, Risk, and supporting functions to adjust processes based on evolving needs

  • Drive continuous improvement, delivering incremental revenue and enhanced customer experiences

  • Participate in steering committees to provide status updates on projects and defects

  • Monitor and analyze product performance, using data to inform future strategy

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or in product management, business analysis, or consulting

  • Background in financial services with understanding of industry requirements and customer needs

  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in Agile environments

  • Skilled communicator with excellent presentation and leadership abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a customer-first mindset

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in parallel

  • Experience with full product lifecycle management from conception through launch

  • Proficiency in product management tools such as Jira, Trello, Smartsheet, MS Project, or GanttPRO

  • Collaborative mindset, able to align and work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders

Education + Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in product ownership, management, or equivalent role

  • Direct experience in financial services or fintech strongly preferred

  • Proven success managing backlogs, leading Agile ceremonies, and delivering customer-facing products
