The Job: Senior Manager, US Marketing

The Senior Manager, US Marketing helps shape and deliver localized marketing initiatives for our US market. This role focuses on driving customer acquisition, retention, and brand growth through omni-channel marketing and retail programs that are tailored to U.S. market dynamics.

What You’ll Do

Lead U.S. Marketing Execution:

  • Adapt Retail Merchandising for the U.S. Market: Localize and execute retail marketing initiatives, ensuring signage, merchandising, and in-store materials resonate with U.S. consumers and meet regulatory and brand standards.
  • Handle U.S.-Specific Retail Requests: Manage requests for new signage, event materials, and localized creative needs that drive customer engagement at the store level.
  • Drive U.S. Capabilities Forward: Support initiatives that advance U.S.-specific marketing infrastructure, such as consent management, compliance rules, and customer data handling best practices.

Develop and Execute U.S. Campaigns:

  • Email and Digital Campaigns: Brief strategy and manage execution for localized U.S. email campaigns, ensuring alignment with audience insights, compliance standards, and brand tone.
  • S. Offer Planning & Execution: Collaborate with Product, Analytics, and VP leadership to plan, launch, and promote offers tailored to the U.S. market, ensuring they align with customer needs, compliance guidelines, and business priorities.
  • Affiliate & Ping Tree Marketing: Manage performance-driven lead generation programs, optimizing traffic, conversion, and quality.

Collaborate and Influence Across Teams:

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with Canadian marketing, U.S. retail, product, compliance, and analytics teams to ensure cohesive execution while championing the unique needs of the U.S. market.
  • Own the U.S. Compliance Relationship: Serve as the key marketing liaison to the U.S. compliance function—ensuring all campaigns, communications, and promotions adhere to local regulatory requirements.

Measure and Optimize Performance:

  • Data-Driven Insights: Partner with the Analytics team to interpret campaign results, generate actionable insights, and continuously improve marketing effectiveness and ROI.
  • Budget Management: Manage U.S. marketing budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively across channels to maximize impact and efficiency.

  • Experience adapting communication style to different audiences. Facilitates discussions, resolves conflicts, and collaborates across teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders through well-structured communication.
  • Build strong relationships across departments and collaborate to meet deliverables.
  • A proactive, curious mindset with a drive to continuously improve processes and deliverables.
  • Experience with complex problem solving using conceptual thinking and synthesis of varied information.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Education + Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 – 7 years of progressive marketing experience within US Market.
  • Proven experience in financial services or sub-prime lending strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with retail merchandising, email marketing, and affiliate or ping tree campaigns is highly desirable
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and data analysis tools.
