The Job: HRIS Workday Functional Support

This temporary role will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of automation and process enhancements within the Workday system to improve efficiency, data integrity, and overall HR operational effectiveness.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Workday Configuration & Optimization: Lead the enhancement of Workday business processes, including condition rules, calculated fields, approvals, and notifications; assess and redesign existing configurations aligned to best practices. 
  • Automation & Process Improvement: Design and implement automation solutions to streamline HR processes, reduce manual intervention, and improve data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitoring General HR Inquiries and action on Workday related tasks, provide best practice recommendations as Workday SME.
  • Testing & Deployment: Lead/support unit testing, system testing, UAT, and oversee deployment of system changes ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Documentation: Partner with HR and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions; develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and process changes. 

What You Bring:

  • Experience leading Workday optimization projects in complex organizations.
  • Experience documenting system governance and change management processes.
  • Advanced Workday configuration (Core HCM, Business Process Framework, Calculated Fields)
  • Workday Reporting and Dashboards
  • Integrations (EIB, Workday Studio – preferred)
  • Data validation and governance practices
  • Process mapping and automation design

Education + Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Workday certification(s) in relevant modules (e.g., HCM, Compensation, Reporting, Integrations).
  • Extensive hands-on Workday configuration experience (3-5 years preferred).
  • Proven experience implementing automation and process improvements within Workday.
  • Strong expertise in Workday Business Process Framework, calculated fields, reporting, and integrations.
  • Experience supporting HRMS or People Analytics functions.
