The Job: Loan Review Analyst
The Loan Review Agent will review and assess loan applications for fraud risk, policy adherence, and decision integrity, ensuring accurate adjudication and mitigation of potential fraud losses.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Loan Review & Fraud Detection
- Conduct comprehensive review of loan applications, supporting documentation, and approval decisions.
- Assess borrower information, income validation, credit history, and documentation authenticity to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize internal systems and fraud detection tools to evaluate application risk and determine appropriate action.
- Risk Assessment & Decision Support
- Apply internal lending policies, risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements when evaluating loan files.
- Document findings clearly and support final adjudication decisions with evidence-based rationale.
- Escalate high-risk or complex cases to Team Lead or Risk partners.
- Investigation & Case Management
- Investigate suspicious activity by gathering additional documentation or collaborating with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed case notes and ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Support broader fraud investigations and provide required documentation when needed.
- Policy Adherence & Compliance
- Ensure all reviews meet internal quality standards, compliance requirements, and service-level expectations.
- Stay informed on emerging fraud schemes, regulatory updates, and changes to internal policies.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Fraud, Risk, Credit, Legal, Complaints) to mitigate fraud risk and improve processes.
- Identify reoccurring risk trend or operational gaps and provide feedback to leadership from process enhancement.
What You Bring:
- High School Diploma. Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- 2 – 5 years of overall experience with the company.
- 2 – 5 years of experience in current role.
