Senior Vice President, Digital Channels

The Senior Vice President, Digital Channels leads the enterprise Digital business by defining and executing the long-term vision, strategy and operating model for all digital customer experiences across Momentum Financial Services Group. Accountable for enterprise digital growth, customer engagement, product innovation, digital revenue, profitability and customer lifetime value, this role oversees all digital channels, digital product management, customer experience and digital transformation initiatives while building a world-class digital organization capable of supporting growth across Canada, the United States and future markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Digital Strategy & Commercial Leadership

  • Own the enterprise Digital strategy and multi-year roadmap for both Canada and the US.
  • Establish long-term digital growth objectives aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Own the digital business strategy, investment portfolio and operating model.
  • Define digital growth opportunities across lending, payments, banking and future product offerings.
  • Lead enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure digital capabilities become a competitive advantage for MFSG.
  • Sponsor enterprise-wide innovation initiatives and emerging technologies, including AI.

Digital Business & P&L Leadership

  • Accountable for overall Digital business performance including revenue growth, profitability and return on investment.
  • Approve digital investment priorities and capital allocation.
  • Establish digital performance metrics and executive dashboards.
  • Own the digital budget and lead the optimization of resources.
  • Oversee portfolio prioritization across all digital initiatives.
  • Balance growth objectives with regulatory, operational and financial requirements.
  • Drive sustainable improvements in customer acquisition, engagement, retention and lifetime value.

Executive Leadership of Digital Organization

  • Lead and develop a high-performing executive leadership team.
  • Directly manage the Vice President, Digital Channels and other senior digital leaders.
  • Build organizational capability, succession planning and executive talent.
  • Foster an innovative, customer-centric and data-driven culture.
  • Ensure organizational design supports future growth and scalability.

 Customer Experience & Digital Innovation

  • Define the enterprise customer experience vision across all digital touchpoints.
  • Sponsor customer journey transformation initiatives.
  • Champion customer research, behavioral insights and design thinking.
  • Drive innovation through AI, automation and emerging digital capabilities.
  • Ensure the organization continually improves digital experiences through experimentation and customer feedback.

Enterprise Partnership & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Partner with executive leaders across Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Marketing, Finance and Product.
  • Influence enterprise strategic planning and investment decisions.
  • Represent Digital with the Executive Leadership Team, Board and external partners.  

Governance, Risk & Regulatory Oversight

  • Ensure enterprise digital governance supports innovation while maintaining strong regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee digital risk management frameworks.
  • Sponsor cybersecurity, privacy and customer trust initiatives.
  • Ensure digital operations meet all legal, regulatory and audit requirements.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of digital product development, including user experience design, site architecture, and performance measurement.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a product vision rooted in customer needs and achieve it through a sound execution strategy.
  • Deep understanding of best-in-class digital experiences and a strong advocacy for mobile-first approaches.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to create and manage detailed roadmaps and timelines.
  • Strong problem solver with the ability to influence and inspire a cross-functional team to reach ambitious goals.
  • Curious and experimental mindset to drive innovation. Highly analytical with a continuous test-and-learn mindset, constantly seeking ways to improve customer experiences.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across different levels in the organization.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • A design mindset, creative thinker, and customer experience champion.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive traffic and conversions through data-driven strategies and customer journey optimization.
  • Proven track record of effective collaboration with technology teams, including developers and UX designers

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred (MBA or equivalent) preferred
  • 20+ years leading digital businesses or enterprise digital organizations.
  • Executive leadership experience within financial services, fintech or consumer technology.
  • Significant ownership of digital P&L.
  • Proven success leading enterprise digital transformation.
  • Strong preference for someone who has worked in financial services.
  • Proven experience in leading digital transformation projects (web/app builds) and managing cross-functional teams
