JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory and Logistic Lead is responsible for the Shipping/Receiving function and Inventory Management functions for the company. This role will interact with many different teams, including engineering, production, facilities, mission management, and finance/accounting. The ideal candidate should be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive inbound material. Verify receipts for compliance with accompanying transaction documentation (e.g., packing lists, invoices, purchase orders, etc.) and check for damage, quantity, correct part numbers, and revision levels
- Review/inspect received material and verify for compliance with product certifications, specifications, and other requirements
- Induct received material into inventory using cleanroom-appropriate labels, bins, drawers, racks, etc.; identifying part numbers and stored locations
- Maintain proper inventory levels; include min/max stocking strategies where appropriate
- Implement a rigorous physical inventory cycle count process assuring continuous inventory accuracy and integrity
- Monitor shelf-life storage and maintain proper rotation of stock
- Stage and disburse material, parts, kits, and subassemblies from inventory to support the needs of Production Operations
- Manage shipping needs to ensure materials are handled, packaged, tracked and delivered as needed
- Contribute to the shipping/receiving import, export and global trade needs for the business
- Identify, create, implement, and maintain key operational processes and KPIs supporting inventory and logistics excellence. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, implementing changes to enhance efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of all relevant receiving, inventory, shipping, and global trade documentation in the appropriate business systems
- Ensure the safe handling of all inventory items and material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, rolling racks, etc.)
Required Skills and Experience
- ERP system experience (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or equivalent)
- Proficient in MS Office and SharePoint (or similar documentation tools)
- Flexible shift work
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience in working for a small and large company in the inventory and logistics functions
- Understand how to implement and grow these functions within a company
- Proficient and certified in the handling of Hazardous Materials (Receipt, Store, Issue, and Ship)
- Experience in preparation, packaging, and shipments of products to customers
- Forklift Certified
Education & Work Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, BS/BA desired
- +5-8 years of experience
Compensation:
Annual Base Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00/per year
Base pay is one part of our total compensation package (base+bonus+equity) and is determined within a range. Your actual base salary will be determined on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Our benefit plans include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k retirement plan, short and long term disability and life insurance. We also offer flexible PTO, along with 11 paid holidays, sick time and paid parental leave.
This is a full-time position in San Jose, California. This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3) is required.
