Southeast Asia Lead
Monad Labs is the team building Monad, the performant and parallel EVM Layer-1 blockchain. We are a team of systems engineers and community builders who are on a mission to help crypto eat the world. After recently raising $225M in series A funding, led by Paradigm, we are growing our team.
The Role
The Ecosystem team accelerates the growth of the Monad ecosystem by organizing initiatives that educate and elevate ambitious dapp builders. A few examples of initiatives include the Monad Madness pitch competition, the Mach One accelerator, and the Monad 101 workshop series.
As the Southeast Asia (SEA) Lead, you’ll define and implement initiatives to expand Monad ecosystem presence in Southeast Asia with an emphasis on community building and builder development. This includes growth across all builder stages (from early-stage developers to established teams) and verticals (DeFi, gaming, NFTs, etc). You will lean on intuition, creativity, and data-driven evidence to identify and pursue strategic opportunities, establish and maintain strong relationships, and enhance Monad ecosystem visibility and reputation in SEA. You are ready and willing to tackle any challenge, no problem too small.
This role offers a unique opportunity to impart massive impact on the trajectory of the Monad ecosystem.
What You Will Do
- Develop, manage, and execute new and existing initiatives that grow the Monad builder community, such as founder bootcamps, demo days and hackathons
- Encourage builders to deepen ties within the Monad ecosystem and community, including composability with other Monad ecosystem apps
- Create pathways for interested parties to learn and engage with the Monad ecosystem
- Collaborate with a range of external counterparties–including builders, investors, exchanges, and infra providers—to promote the growth of the Monad ecosystem
- Work alongside cross-functional teams internally including Business Development, DevRel, Marketing, and Operations
- Be a leading member of the SEA builder community, online and irl, to help crypto grow in SEA
Who You Are
- 5 years of relevant professional experience, with 2 years in a similar role in Web3 ideally at an L1/L2 blockchain

- Based in Southeast Asia with a strong industry network in SEA
- Demonstrated track record of end-to-end ownership of large scale projects
- An excellent written and verbal communicator with a track record to show
- No-ego, resourceful, detail-oriented, and biased toward action with reverence to team priorities
- Adept at managing relationships and expectations across many stakeholders
Nice to Have
