The role:

We are looking for a Country Manager to oversee the Philippines Market. As a Country Manager, you are responsible for the overall performance of the Philippines team. Essential to success in this role is a keen ability to manage our teams & strengthen the MoneyMax and Creatory brand in the Philippines. You will be supported by the Commercial, Marketing & Product teams in market as your direct reports while the parent company, MoneyHero Group provides unrivaled support and tools from the Engineering, Marketing, and Product Development departments for you to leverage on to exceed country performance goals. In this position you will have a large amount of influence on local market decisions and initiatives.

 

The Country Manager, Philippines will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and execute the country’s business strategy 
    • Identify and capitalize on local market opportunities and create actionable plans to capture market share 
    • Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to adapt strategies proactively.
  • Business Development and Growth 
    • Build and nurture relationships with key clients (banks, insurance companies and fintech merchants, fintechs) and industry bodies . 
    • Negotiate commercial deals and strategic partnerships with key clients
    • Implement data-driven KPIs to monitor performance and pivot strategies as needed
    • Drive customer acquisition through innovative go-to-market strategies tailored to local needs.
  • Operational excellence 
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with the company’s global standards. 
    • Establish and manage KPIs to measure performance across sales, operations, and customer success teams. 
    • Ensure full compliance with local regulations, including licensing and data protection laws. 
    • Build and scale local teams, ensuring a strong focus on employee engagement and retention.
  • Financial Management 
    • Own the country P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance. 
    • Optimize resource allocation to maximize ROI and business outcomes. 
    • Report regularly on financial and operational performance to global leadership. 

 

In this role, we are looking for someone with:

  • Strategic Problem-Solving – Ability to identify root causes of problems and implement strategic solutions.
  • Financial Acumen – Expertise in financial forecasting, budget management, and P&L oversight.
  • Leadership & Team Development – Experience managing high-performing teams and leading credibly.
  • Market & Industry Knowledge – Deep understanding of the financial industry, media landscape, competitors, and market trends.
  • Negotiation & Decision-Making – Strong contract management skills, emotional intelligence, and sound judgment.
  • Business Growth & Turnaround – Proven track record in business turnaround, strategic planning, and execution.
  • Business Development & Networking – Well-connected within the Philippines financial ecosystem, especially among FIIs.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset – Comfortable navigating ambiguity and scaling new initiatives.
  • Project & Stakeholder Management – Skilled in cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and communication.
  • Sales & Marketing Leadership – Experience leading successful sales and marketing teams.
  • Creativity & Execution – Ability to launch and scale impactful programs.
  • People Leadership – Inspires and drives cross-functional teams effectively to drive high-quality results.
  • 10+ years of experience in fintech, payments, or financial services, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (previous roles as Country Manager or GM are preferred)
  • Proven track record of scaling operations, driving revenue growth, and managing P&L in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of the local ecosystem, including banking and insurance products, lending, and digital financial products. 
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with a proven network in the financial and commercial sectors

 

Good to have:

  • A degree in Finance or Business is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, positive and energetic approach, composed, tenacious and has a sense of humour
  • Exceptional communication skills and proficiency in both Filipino and English – able to articulate complex ideas simply, make a compelling argument, be direct and respectful, and be a good brand ambassador
  • Ability translate insights from local trends, competitor analysis, and consumer behavior into actionable strategies that enhance market positioning
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with startup/scale-up experience

How long do we hold your personal data?

Your personal data will be retained by the Group for so long as the Group determines it is reasonably necessary to evaluate your application for employment. If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your personnel file and retained during your employment in accordance with the contract of employment and our internal privacy policy.

What if you do not supply your personal data?
