About the Job

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Regional Manager, Finance based in Hong Kong to oversee finance operations and strategies across Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and the Philippines. In this role, you will partner closely with local management teams, providing insights and strategic support across economic analysis, planning, forecasting, and decision-making. You’ll be responsible for ensuring compliance, optimizing working capital, managing tax and audit processes, and leading regional finance transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Finance Strategy and Execution: Develop and execute finance strategies to support the financial objectives of the Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and Philippines markets.
  • Financial Review: Oversee the review of invoices, financial statements, and periodic payment processing.
  • Business Support: Partner with regional management to provide economic analysis, forecasting, and decision-making support.
  • Working Capital and Treasury Management: Ensure effective management of working capital and treasury functions across the region.
  • Tax Compliance and Audit: Oversee tax compliance and audit processes, ensuring regulatory adherence across all regional markets.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead the day-to-day finance and accounting functions within the region, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closings/reporting.
  • Finance Transformation: Drive finance automation and transformation initiatives, focusing on people, systems, tools, and processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of accounting records per applicable regulatory and financial frameworks.
  • Reporting: Prepare and oversee monthly reporting packages for HQ Finance, and coordinate quarterly reporting and Group audits.
  • Statutory Filings: Oversee tax and statutory filings for each market, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements.
  • Audit and Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for auditors and regulators in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and the Philippines.
  • Business Controls: Implement and maintain effective financial controls, ensuring integrity, efficiency, and compliance of financial processes.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide cross-market support as needed, collaborating with the finance team in other regions.
  • Handle any other ad-hoc functions or projects as assigned by management.

In this role, we are looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification, ideally with auditing experience
  • At least 6-8 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in a managerial or supervisory role in finance, audit, or accounting
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, multicultural environment
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Fluent in Cantonese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and finance/accounting software; SAP experience is preferred
  • Independent, proactive, and able to navigate a fast-paced environment with high energy and strong interpersonal skills

Good to have:

  • Familiarity with tax systems and commercial laws in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and the Philippines
  • Previous experience in a finance role within the financial services or fintech sectors

Who may have access to personal data?

Your information will be shared internally within the Group for the purposes of the recruitment exercise. This includes with members of the HR and recruitment team, interviewers involved in the recruitment process, managers in the business area with a vacancy, internal and external auditors and IT staff if access to the data is necessary for the performance of their roles.

Your personal data will be shared with Greenhouse Software, Inc., a cloud services provider located in the United States of America and engaged by MoneyHero Group to help manage its recruitment and hiring process on MoneyHero Group’s behalf.

MoneyHero Group may share your personal data with third parties in order to, obtain pre-employment references from other employers, obtain employment background checks from third party providers and to obtain necessary criminal record checks.

How long do we hold your personal data?

Your personal data will be retained by the Group for so long as the Group determines it is reasonably necessary to evaluate your application for employment. If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your personnel file and retained during your employment in accordance with the contract of employment and our internal privacy policy.

For unsuccessful candidates, we will retain the personal data provided during the application process for a period of two (2) years. This is to maintain accurate recruitment records, prevent duplicate applications, and to allow us to consider you for future opportunities that may match your profile. After this period, your data will be securely deleted from our systems. Should you wish to request the deletion of your data before the end of this retention period, you may contact us at legal-team@moneyherogroup.com.

What if you do not supply your personal data?
