About the Job

We are seeking a commercially driven and strategically minded senior insurance leader to help lead and grow MoneyHero’s Singapore insurance business.

The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping business strategy, strengthening insurer partnerships, developing new revenue opportunities and ensuring the business delivers sustainable growth, strong customer outcomes and sound regulatory standards.

Depending on the successful candidate’s experience, leadership capability, regulatory suitability and the needs of the business, the role may be appointed to lead the Singapore Insurance team, or another appropriate senior leadership position. The role may lead the Singapore insurance team directly or work alongside other senior insurance leaders within a clearly defined allocation of responsibilities and decision-making authority.

The role will report to the Country Manager, Singapore, and will work closely with regional insurance leadership, Commercial, Marketing, Product, AI & Engineering, Data, Operations, Finance, Legal and Compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute growth initiatives for the Singapore insurance business, including opportunities relating to products, customer segments, distribution channels, commercial partnerships and customer propositions.
  • Contribute to the development of the Singapore insurance strategy, in alignment with Group priorities, customer needs, commercial objectives and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver agreed business targets, which may include revenue, profitability, conversion, retention, customer growth and product or channel performance.
  • Identify market, competitor, customer and regulatory trends, and translate these insights into practical commercial recommendations and initiatives.
  • Build robust business cases and implementation plans for new products, partnerships, campaigns and other strategic opportunities.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to improve customer journeys, conversion, retention, renewal performance and long-term customer value.

Insurer and partner management 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, strategic partners and other relevant stakeholders in the Singapore insurance ecosystem.
  • Lead or support commercial negotiations, partner planning, product development, campaign execution and performance management, in accordance with the assigned scope of responsibility.
  • Develop clear account plans and performance-review processes for key insurer and strategic-partner relationships.
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve material commercial, product, service, operational or customer issues affecting insurance-partner performance.
  • Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Product, AI & Engineering, Data, Operations, Finance, Legal and Compliance to support effective reporting, reconciliation, contracting and delivery processes.

Regulatory compliance and risk 

  • Work closely with Legal and Compliance to ensure that insurance products, marketing materials, customer journeys, sales and broking processes, and partner arrangements comply with applicable laws, regulations, MAS requirements and internal policies.
  • Promote strong governance, controls and risk awareness across the Singapore insurance business.
  • Identify, escalate and assist in resolving material customer complaints, conduct concerns, operational incidents and regulatory matters within the candidate’s allocated scope.
  • Support the maintenance of appropriate records, management information and regulatory submissions relevant to the business.
  • Ensure that commercial decisions appropriately balance business objectives, customer interests, fair dealing and regulatory obligations.

Performance and operational excellence

  • Use sales, customer, commercial, financial and funnel data to assess performance, identify opportunities and recommend improvement actions.
  • Support the development and use of management information, dashboards and regular business-review processes.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, AI & Engineering, Data and Operations to improve digital customer journeys, operational processes, customer outcomes and scalability.
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects that support profitable growth, efficiency and improved customer experience.

 

Key Performance Indicators

KPI will be assessed against agreed objectives appropriate to the final title, seniority and scope of appointment, including: 

  • Revenue, profitability and performance against agreed business targets
  • Conversion, retention, renewal and customer-value outcomes
  • Growth and quality of insurer and strategic-partner relationships
  • Delivery of new products, channels, commercial partnerships and growth initiatives
  • Customer experience, complaint trends and service performance
  • Strength of governance, controls, regulatory compliance and risk management
  • Team performance, leadership capability and talent development
  • Contribution to strategic and operational improvements across the Singapore insurance business

Experience and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Insurance or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years’ relevant experience in insurance, insurance broking, insurance distribution, financial services or a closely related sector.
  • Strong commercial experience, including responsibility for revenue, growth, P&L, product, partnerships, distribution or other material business-performance outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience working with insurers and managing commercial, product, distribution or partnership relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of the Singapore insurance market, insurance products and relevant regulatory and conduct expectations.
  • Experience working in a digital, fintech, marketplace, broker, insurer or partnership-led distribution environment is preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder-management, communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Sound commercial judgment, analytical capability and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated people-leadership experience or strong potential to lead and develop a high-performing team.

Regulatory Eligibility 

  • Must be eligible to satisfy all applicable MAS fit-and-proper, competency, registration and/or representative-appointment requirements relevant to the duties ultimately assigned to the role.
  • Relevant CMFAS qualifications and other professional certifications are required where applicable to the candidate’s regulated activities and the Company’s regulatory arrangements.
  • The successful candidate will be subject to appropriate fit-and-proper, conflict-of-interest, background-screening and regulatory onboarding processes, as applicable.

Good to Have

  • Experience in travel, home, motor, general, life and/or health insurance.
  • Experience launching insurance products, digital journeys, distribution channels or strategic partnerships.
  • Experience in a high-growth technology, fintech or digital marketplace environment.
  • Experience working across multiple products, markets or business units.
  • Familiarity with data-driven digital acquisition, conversion and customer-retention models.

How long do we hold your personal data?

Your personal data will be retained by the Group for so long as the Group determines it is reasonably necessary to evaluate your application for employment. If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your personnel file and retained during your employment in accordance with the contract of employment and our internal privacy policy.

For unsuccessful candidates, we will retain the personal data provided during the application process for a period of two (2) years. This is to maintain accurate recruitment records, prevent duplicate applications, and to allow us to consider you for future opportunities that may match your profile. After this period, your data will be securely deleted from our systems.
