Equity Analyst

About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated Equity Analyst to join the office of the CEO. This individual will have a particularly strong background in fundamental analysis, with expertise covering technology. They will be responsible for providing actionable insight to support trading strategies. They will do this by conducting in-depth research and analysis, leading to high-conviction investment proposals.
Responsibilities:
- Fundamental Analysis: Conduct comprehensive fundamental analysis, including financial statement analysis, industry research, and competitive landscape assessments.
- Financial Modeling: Build and maintain detailed financial models to forecast company performance and assess valuation.
- Research Reports: Prepare detailed research reports and investment recommendations based on thorough analysis and evaluation of subject companies.
- Event Monitoring: Continuously monitor market trends, news, and developments within the technology sector to identify potential investment opportunities and risks.
- Presentations: Present research findings and investment ideas to the CEO clearly and concisely.
- Investment Recommendations: Provide buy, hold, or sell recommendations based on fundamental analysis and market conditions.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, innovations, and regulatory changes in the tech sector.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees (MBA, CFA) are a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in equity research with a focus on tech.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg, FactSet).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and market trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The base salary for this role ranges from $100,000 – $250,000. In addition, an annual discretionary bonus may be awarded.
