A Day in the Life:

As the Quality Control Lab Manager, you'll own the pulse of our Quality Control Laboratory, driving day-to-day operations across Analytical and HPLC testing environments. You'll lead a high-performing team, optimize resources, and ensure every test, analysis, and result meets the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance. This role is all about pushing operational excellence, maintaining regulatory and internal quality requirements, and keeping our labs running at peak performance. The Impact You'll Make:

  • Coordinate and optimize staffing, workflow prioritization, and laboratory scheduling to ensure adequate coverage, and timely completion of testing activities, supervising, mentoring, and developing laboratory staff to ensure competency and adherence to Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs). 
  • Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and performance of laboratory instrumentation, including HPLC systems, working with internal teams and vendors to resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime. 
  • Responsible for the conservation, upkeep, and maintenance of the laboratory and all associated assets, including equipment, infrastructure, and controlled environments. 
  • Drive process optimization and performance monitoring, utilizing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and enhanced laboratory performance. 
  • Demonstrate a willingness and flexibility to support special tasks, initiatives, and cross-functional projects as assigned. 
  • Responsible for the oversight and maintenance of all regulatory licenses required to operate the laboratory as applicable by local, federal mandate.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information, quality data, and business matters with a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion. 
  • Oversee laboratory inventory and supply management, including forecasting demand, managing reagent and consumable levels, and coordinating procurement activities to prevent disruptions and support ongoing testing requirements. 
  • Act as a key point of contact for cross-functional communication, escalating critical issues and communicating test results and trends to stakeholders, including Quality, Operations, and leadership teams. 
  • Ensure the laboratory is consistently maintained in a clean, organized, and audit-ready condition, promoting efficient workflow, safety compliance, and adherence to good housekeeping and laboratory practices.

Who You Are:

  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Chemistry, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related areas.
  • Between 3-5 years of experience in beverage manufacturing.
  • Between 3-5 years of experience in food or beverage analytical testing methods (HPLC, CO2, Brix, TA, pH, sensory analysis).
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Fluency in English preferred.
