A day in the life: 

In the position of QA Engineer I, you will be responsible for supporting and improving the Compliance and Quality Assurance (QA) processes across the region. This includes quality compliance auditing of suppliers and contract manufacturers, investigations into consumer complaints and non-conformances, and supporting the QA Manager/Director in the management of the QA function.     

The impact you’ll make:  

  • Conduct scheduled Internal and External Quality / Food Safety Management System Audits as assigned. Manage the remediation process associated with each audit. 
  • Conduct investigations into consumer complaints and non-conformances.
  • Analyze data, interpreting the data, and then reporting as needed.
  • Provide QA leadership updates on assigned projects such as site risk assessments, environmental evaluations, water qualifications, and special projects assigned by management.
  • Support site improvement projects as necessary.
  • Participate, support, and execute validation activities as necessary to support business needs.
  • Improve the Company Quality Management Systems.
  • Perform other duties as required in support of the running of the regional Quality department.        

Who you are:

  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Engineering, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other relevant technical degree.
  • Additional Experience Desired: Minimum 1 year of experience in a technical position in a food, dietary supplement or Pharma manufacturer  
  • Additional Experience Desired: Minimum 1 year of experience in a variety of testing methods
  • Computer Skills Desired: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Statistical Analysis software experience such as MiniTab/GraphPad preferred.
  • Preferred Certifications: HACCP, PCQI, Auditing preferred.
  • Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Experience in Food and Drug Administration regulated industries preferred.
