A Day in the Life:

In the position of Accounting Analyst, you will support the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of Monster Energy’s accounting records by contributing to core accounting processes and financial close activities. You will help ensure that all financial information is recorded, analyzed, and maintained in accordance with established accounting policies and internal controls, supporting reliable financial reporting across the organization. Operating in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, you will play a key role in enabling timely and accurate decision-making that drives Monster Energy’s global performance.

The Impact You'll Make:

• Execute monthly and quarterly closing processes by preparing, reviewing, and documenting accounting entries and producing Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss (P&L) account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness.
• Perform and review journal entries related to expense reports, sponsorships, payroll, loans, intercompany transactions, importation, accruals, taxes, inventory, fixed assets, and invoices, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately, timely, and in accordance with accounting policies.
• Support the team in meeting statutory and regulatory obligations by preparing and submitting required information for SPED (Public Digital Bookkeeping System), IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), BACEN (Central Bank of Brazil), and other applicable authorities, ensuring compliance with Brazilian regulatory requirements.
• Prepare, update, and maintain accounting process documentation to support compliance requirements, ensuring consistency, audit readiness, and proper knowledge retention within the team.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing, organizing, and providing required documentation and explanations, facilitating audit reviews and ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit inquiries.
• Assist the team in preparing, reviewing, and validating internal and external audit Financial Statements packages, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with accounting standards and reporting requirements.
• Prepare General Ledger (P&L) account reconciliations and internal financial reports, analyzing variances and supporting the identification and resolution of discrepancies.
• Support the team in the preparation and delivery of internal financial reports and other accounting deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met and information provided is accurate and reliable.

Who You Are:

• Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Accounting, Finance, Business or related field of study
• Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in accounting process and regulations
• Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in financial modeling, accounting software, spreadsheets
• Computer Skills Desired: Excellent knowledge in MS Excel, solid knowledge in other MS Office applications
• Preferred Certifications: Knowledge in SAP is desirable
• Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Intermediate English written and spoken is preferred
