A Day in the Life:
You will play a key role in supporting the company's global growth by ensuring compliance with indirect tax regulations and the accurate application of tax rules across our operations. You will contribute to the integrity and efficiency of tax processes, helping maintain robust internal controls, support system accuracy, and promote strong tax governance. Working cross-functionally with internal teams, you will serve as a trusted resource for indirect tax matters, helping Monster Energy navigate an evolving regulatory landscape while supporting business objectives and operational excellence.
The Impact You'll Make:
- Assist in systems maintenance to guarantee correct tax calculation validation of tax determination systems by reviewing tax setups, parameters, and master data, ensuring indirect taxes are calculated accurately and in compliance with applicable legislation, supporting operational continuity and minimizing tax risks.
- Perform, review, and validate indirect tax routines, including tax calculations, tax returns, and statutory filings related to ICMS/ICMS-ST (Tax on the Circulation of Goods and Services and Substitution Tax), PIS (federal social contribution calculated as a percentage of revenue), COFINS (monthly federal social assistance contribution calculated as a percentage of revenue), ISS (municipal tax levied on the provision of services listed under Supplementary Law 116/2003), WHT (Income Tax Withholding), and other applicable taxes, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with local tax regulations and internal policies.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulatory guidance, assess their impact on operations, and support the implementation of required adjustments in systems, processes, and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.

- Manage, renew, and monitor Tax Debts Certificates by coordinating with internal stakeholders and authorities, ensuring certificates remain valid and available to support business operations and commercial requirements.
- Provide tax-related guidance and support to internal departments, vendors, suppliers, and peers, clarifying indirect tax requirements and processes to enable informed decision making and operational alignment.
- Support the tax management in the preparation of tax reports and in the creation, review, and documentation of standard operating procedures, ensuring clarity, knowledge retention, and adherence to established tax governance practices
Who You Are:
- Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Accounting, Finance, or related field of study
- Additional Experience Desired: Between 3-5 years of experience in tax filling and calculation
- Additional Experience Desired: Between 3-5 years of experience in SAP data processing and automation; efficiency improvement
- Computer Skills Desired: Excellent knowledge in SAP, MS Excel, Power BI, Solid knowledge in other MS Office applications. SAP and Synchro systems knowledge is preferred.
